Your publication WAS respectable

I am shocked to see this trash ["Not without my mom"] in your journal, newspaper - whatever you call it. Your publication was a respectable and high-quality reading material. That is why I did not expect this trashy interview printed there.

You are stepping on the very sensitive feelings of thousands of Iranians, when you insult the Pahlavi dynasty. They were the people who pulled Iran up to be known as a country that the great powers of the world would take into consideration.

Every human being, every government has shortcomings and is not perfect. I am not saying that the Pahlavis were flawless, but when you think back and remember what Iran was two centuries ago, where it got under the Pahlavis, and what it is now; then you start counting your blessings and then you feel sorry for where it has ended.

Yes, Iran is still in the news but not as a growing and glowing country. It is mentioned as a backwards, crude, and violent country. It is being mocked for its stupid and barbaric government. Iran is the laughing stock of the world now.

Reza Pahlavi was a kid when his father was the king; he should not be made a target for this kind of disgusting and trashy humor. What hurts more, is to compare Farah Diba (who is a real lady and has done sooooo much for Iran, especially for the women in Iran) to Mahvash, who was a cheap singer.

Anyway, I am so angry and my feelings are so hurt that I had to write this to you. Take my name off your list and don't ever send me your trashy publication. I don't want to see anything from you anymore.

Irene
