Revolution
In fall 1979, eight months after the revolution, female students were initially
given the choice of wearing either the more familiar school uniform on the right,
or the Islamic hijab. However, the hijab soon became mandatory.

rejime-e aakhoondi ghadam be ghadam jaaye paaye khod raa mohkam kard. in aks marboot
be paaiiz-e 1358 (1979) ast, rejime-e aakhoondi elaam kard ke daanesh aamoozaane
dokhtar do no' haghe entekhaab dar lebaase madrese daarand,va hame dar entekhaabe
noe bedoone maghnae va poosheshe eslaami aazaadand!
