 Singers Listen to clip from Vigen signing "Daagh-e booseh" This beautiful song is not available on any CD. It's from the 1960s. This vinyl, unlike other surviving Iranian "chehel-va-panj dowr" that I have found, is in mint condition, so the defects heard are actually due to the extremely limited recording equipment that was available in Iran in the 1960s. I was told that "Dow Panjareh" by Googoosh from 1973 was recorded on only 2 tracks and that the recordings in Iran up to 1975 where done on 2-tracks. To give you a comparison, "Mother and Child Reunion" by Paul Simon from 1972 was recorded on 8 tracks and since the 80s good studios have 64tracks.
