2002. Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei agreed to pardon Loqmanian,
the first lawmaker to be imprisoned since the 1979 Islamic revolution. Loqmanian
was jailed Dec. 25, 2001 to serve a 10 month sentence for insulting the
judiciary.
