Israel said its navy, operating Thursday around 500 kilometres (310 miles) south of the Israeli port of Eilat, between Saudi Arabia and Sudan, seized the the ship carrying 50 tons of weapons and explosives. An Israeli official claimed the weapons were supplied by Iran to the Palestinian Authority.
