The relatives of some 570 dead Iranian POWs mourn as their remains are returned to
Iran at the border with Iraq in Khosravi, 452 miles (724 kilometers) southwest of
the capital Tehran, Sunday, July 21, 2002. Iraq and Iran on Sunday exchanged the
remains of 1,736 soldiers who were captured during the 1980-1988 war and died in
captivity, a further step toward normalizing relations between the two neighbors.
