 A Chinese youth looks at a legendary "luminous pearl" at the Zhonghua Department Store in the southern city of Guangzhou, July 24, 2002. The large precious stone, referred to as a pearl in Chinese, is regarded as part of the treasure of emperors according to legend. Chinese people believe it emitted light at night and warded off evil.
