The world's biggest Ferris wheel, Britain's London Eye, is set to become a permanent fixture on the banks of London's River Thames, its co-owner said on July 23, 2002. Built to celebrate the millennium, the 443-feet high landmark originally had permission to stay for five years, but its owners campaigned to keep it for good. (Kieran Doherty/Reuters)
