Mahdiyeh Javid, when she was four, somewhere in Turkey. She loved sticking her out
of the train window. Mahdiyeh, her mom Nargess Pirani and I, traveled from London
to Tehran, mostly by train in early spring (?) 1986.
Tomorrow, December 1, is Mahdiyeh's 20th birthday. We're having a party for her tonight
at Ali Dadgar's place in Oakland, California. She will be leaving for Washington
DC next week to work as a radio reporter.
Good luck azizam. You will be terribly missed.
Jahanshah Javid
