 Medals Red Lion medal delivered for services in the Iranian health corps (Shir o Khorshid - Lion and Sun) equivalent to the Red Cross in Christian countries and the Red Cresent for Moslem countries. Iran was the only country to have a recognized national Emblem for humanitarian aid but joined the Red Crescent after the 1979 Revolution.
