Full throttle spring
May 21, 2002
The Iranian
Where I live
it is now
full throttle
spring.
So magnificent
I don't know
where to
begin.
On one corner a lush
fountain of shrubs, the
greenest green.
On the other, the
sound of sparrows
rising in shameless
scream.
A blanket of new air
wraps everything
it touches in its
promise.
And I hear
all around me
this:
Spring in full throttle,
spring in full throttle,
steal it and keep it
in tiny a bottle.
