I find myself
January 22, 2003
The Iranian
I find myself
in the middle of
a mountain path
sitting on
a familiar
rock.
I have sat here
before,
breathing in the fresh air,
exhaling my
loneliness,
the cool breeze
whispering
flight in
my ears.
I feel the
stony
ground under
the full grip
of my tired
feet.
And think
to myself:
how lucky
to have sat
here before
and now,
again, with
no one else
but me.
