Daei: "It was a wrestling match out there!"
Beirut, Oct. 18 (Iran Sports Press) -- "We still have long ways
to go", said Jalal Talebi at the post game press conference following
the match between Iran and Iraq on Wednesday. Talebi said, "I am pleased
with my team's performance. They did a wonderful job as a team. I hope
they continue like that in coming games. We hope to succeed after 24 years."

South Korea defeat Indonesia

in the Asian Cup, beating Indonesia 3-0 to claim the third place spot and

a win against Saudi Arabia to secure a place in the quarter finals of Asian

Beirut - Oct. 17: Iranian full-back Mehdi Mahdavikia saw himself targetted
by local press media for "Saving his legs for his club HSV Hamburg,
instead of performing his best for the national team." Another moderate

Sturm Graz: "Minavand not needed"
Oct. 17 (Iran Sports Press) -- Today Sturm Graz' chairman Hannes Kartnig
confirmed what manager Schilcher had said yesterday. He said that Sturm
Graz will do without Iranian midfielder Mehrdad Minavand for the remainder
