Golshifteh: Jeanne d'Arc of the Iranian opposition?
Leave it to us Iranians to carry things out of proportion.
An individual's personal action is now being interpreted to
be something it never was. Portraying Golshifte to be the
ubber warrior against IRI is just so pathetic but also so
typical of our corrupt opposition.
yes, the user name is different person and mistakenly I thought it is Maybokhor. Anyway, no one claims that Golshifteh naked photo shot is a sign of protest against IRI and personally I never use vulgar language against anybody unless that person is enemy of Iran such as Sargoord Pirooz. I don't know what happened to that bastard.
The shot is state of art. Most likely in the line of early work of Cezanne and later on Toulouse Lautrec.
The shot has never meant to have any political messages. It has nothing to do with politic or IRI. That was NOT the way the photoghrapher wanted to communicate with viewers. I am sure if Pas mal (the photographer) hears about political interpretation of the vieweres, that will make him laugh. The shot is only state of art and has been nominated to French oscar award.
At the same time the naked photo shot promotes women's liberation in Iran. It benefited Iranian women rahter than hurting them. The Iranian women who have been under oppression of bunch of the stinky rag heads who are trying to impose idea of lizard eater arabs from 1400 years ago. It benefits Iranian women big time. It also promotes equality between men and women and social justice. Under current circumstances, if the men took his top off it is okay, and it is taboo if women took her top off. This photo shot implies and send a signal to Iranian women it is okay for women to take her top off like men. That is the meaning of equality between men and women. Golshifteh name will remain as a taboo breaker and the leader of paradigm shift in our history.
That was the funniest bit of the total thickies: the same ones who are expert basiji cyber detectives couldn't even differentiate the uniforms in the photo.

You simply lack the capacity to even continue in the direction that you yourself start. Thus you remain a shameless apologist of thugs.
Your hoity toity "ethics" shows itself though your attempt of "ghettoization" of your opponents.
You mention of the "ghetto" inspired me to send you this one, enjoy, and stop being such a MONAFEGH #1. I know that's impossible, hypocracy is a part of your "proper' upbringing.
There are many other ways to protest IR, She does not represents Iranian women. She may represent Iranian actreses. I just disagree with her method, it was wrong any which way you look at it.
This is the second time that this group, either out of ignorance or just blind hatred towards something they cannot digest, misinterpret my blog to be something it is not.
The first was the picture of the exposed girl in a Cairo demonstration where my message was that a revolution that ends with a military rule is not a revolution. Some jerks who know nothing about world affairs even thought it was a picture from Tehran even though the picture had been circulating around the world for three days. Go figure!!
And now this one where I state nothing about Golshifteh's intentions with the photo session but point to the poor state of affairs in the opposition trying to take advantage of, despite every thing else, a woman's brave action. Whether I approve of her action was never the subject of this blog.
And this Poori Fesh Feshoo character resorts to ghetto language and reveals his defective upbringing with his comments.
This has been the summation of this loud useless opposition in the past 30 some years: Yek mosht harze zaban va harze ravan.
As Souri and her father put it so well: " Leave them alone," and mind you own phocking busines. Meanwhile enjoy this song, see if you could understand what they're singing about. cheers
Hamash Delam Migireh..Mohsen Namjoo and Golshifteh Farahani live in Milan
Honestly, I am annoyed with so much non sense about a matter of non sense! I wanted to write a comment about it, but each time, I hold back fearing they would call me again "the Queen" etc.
What astonishes me the most, is that, this is not only at IC, but all over the places where there are Iranians in the north America!
I am sure that the Iranians in France, don't see things in this way. Actually, in France, the nudism is no more a taboo. If you visit Paris, during the summer, you will see womens in bikini, lying on the grass, reading their books, in each park, right around the corner, on the sidewalk.
Actress (and actor) getting naked, in front of the camera, is something aboslutely natural! How many times we have seen Depardieu's zizi (penis) or Juliette Binoche's sex in the movies, is uncountable.
Yet, here in America, especially with those nadid badid Iranian, nudity is still a matter of hight importance.
Golshifteh is in France since a while. She has been mingling with the French actors, she has been influenced by the French cinemagraphy's culture. She doesn't see things, from the angle which the Iranians (in iran or America) see these things.
Leave her alone! When she left Iran for the West, she didn't ask your permission. Whether you have applaud her or not, she didn't do it for you! She didn't do it for the freedom of Iran and Iranians! She did this only for herself! Now she is doing her job, like she always did. She doesn't do for pleasing you, or the Iranians in revolt, she does it for herself and her carrier.
What is all this hoopla about it?
Not an act of courage, not an act of protest, not an act of shame, nothing! Just an act of photo and cinema!
Stick to your own priorities and don't try to stick her to your priorities. She doesn't stick to it!
Leave her alone!
She isn't the first Iranian actress to take her kit off.Its obvious none of you have seen Shirin Neshat's Women Without Men.
The power of woman's sexuality-you people are so intimidated by a woman's breast that you have dedicated songs, poems, blogs non-stop for one week. Get over it.
Honeatly, are you guys so nadid badid?
What exactly are you trying to say? This isn't your Rapist Paradise...In America, Golshifteh doesn't have to worry about Islamist animals harming her and she can do as she pleases. Get used to it
