The ultimate sanction against Iran

The State department announced today that effective immediately use of the word Iran will be prohibited by all U.S. organizations and media and all those wishing to do business with the U.S.The ban also includes the terms “IRI”, and “the Islamic Republic.”

Entities attempting to circumvent this ban by for example using “I ran,” as most Americans pronounce the country’s name anyway, will also be prosecuted.

In non-avoidable situations, it will be allowed to refer to Iran as “the territory lying between Afghanistan and Iraq,” or “The country north of the Arabian Gulf.”

When asked for reasons behind this drastic and unprecedented measure, the State Department spokesman, after a brief call to AIPAC, came back red faced, announcing that for national security reasons he was not allowed to elaborate -- Which nation, he did not disclose.

Experts are nevertheless of the opinion that this recent development could either be that they had run out of sanctions ideas or that if the public forgot that a nation by the name of Iran exists, it will be easier to obliterate the country without any major protests.

As for Ahmadinejad’s yearly appearance at the U.N., the television networks have been instructed to show instead reruns of either “Walker, Texas Ranger” or AWR wrestling.
