Question
* Anyway, should I quit my job?
Dear Abjeez:
Help! My life is a soap opera. I was dating this guy for two weeks and
fell completely and utterly in love. We decided to get married. Of course
my family is ecstatic because they thought they are going to end up with
this torshideh daughter. I am already 22 and very long in the tooth right?
While we were engaged I met his brother at a family party and started
having feelings for him. I am trying to fight my feelings but he is sooo
cute! To make matters worse, I have just found out my fiance is cheating
on me with my best friend. I caught them doing a menage a trois with
his ex wife. Did I mention I have 2 children from 2 previous relationships?
Anyway my question is, is this the right time for me to quit my job?
It is really making me exhausted what with the long hours I put in between
1 and 4 pm everyday and those people can be so rude. I mean chill! Your
precious cup of coffee is coming! Thanks a lot for your speedy input!

Dear Sheytoon Bala:
First of all kudos to you and the amazing path your
life has taken. It was Nietszche who said if you like the rainbows you
have to put up with
the rain. We think you are brave, responsible logical type of woman.
You are so lucky you are engaged before your time is up. Har dokhtari
yek bahaari daareh. You were getting well past your prime being single
and unwed at the age of 22 yikes!
Don't let the small things in life
such as infidelity bother you. After all you are the one wearing the
ring girlfriend you know whadda mean? Hmmm... Hmmm.. (Just make sure
to take it to a jeweler to see if it is real, because if it is just cubic
zirconia then he is not worth the trouble). Your children are getting
a GREAT DAD and who knows if things work out with the brother too, they
will be getting a very good uncle!
About your job, honey, why are you working your fingers to the bone?
Now that you've caught your fish, let your man take care of you. And
if he is out of a job, maybe you both can go on welfare. That way the
government can subsidize your hetero marriage.
Lots of love and don't forget to invite us to your wedding. (Make sure
we are seated next to eligible bachelors)
:o)
