Trees sharp and crisp against a burly blue sky
............Strong, sturdy and durable
.................Boats, homes, rocks
and shores ............Algae wave tirelessly, sometimes soft
.................Others frantic in
the ocean currents
Rocks rise sharp and permanent
Inviting footsteps along
Long slate, black and charcoal faces
............Sun smooth and strong
.................Kisses passionately and long
.....................Singeing in its
wake
..............................Breeze, always the breeze
..................................A
rhythm of whispered harmony
Cherry tomatoes off the vine
.......... Caress their smooth, shiny skin
................... Tease off the
clinging soil
.......... Taste of sun,
water and air glide
Humming and cheery down
.......... Expanse of blue lapping waves
.......... .........Extend a civilized invitation
.......... Into the cool calm of the
sea
Paddling along Chauncy Creek up toward the
.......... Ocean where the tide is coming in
.......... .........The boat low in the water only inches
.......... .............. Above
the bottomless mystery.
