Midnight solace

Sharp, darting light
Crisp, glaring bright
Angles, bounces
Arcs, refracts
Continues
Outward, curling sounds
Inward, crushing mounds
Heft not ounces
Loads, retracts
Ingénues
Those orbs, no sight
These limbs, less might
Silence trounces
Counteracts
Changing hues
Often, trying rebounds
Never, crying resounds
Drivel flounces
Meaning backs
Rendezvous
Pear-shaped drop
Mental fire stop
Wordless sigh
Breathless cry
Ah, redux
For Michelle (Iran-joon), my wife, for whose love and affectation I strive always as if this is the solstice of my life, on her birthday, 8 May 2006. Love always, Matteo (Fulton).
