The longest war
(for Mina Abdollahian)
June 23, 2006
The longest War standing between us
Hangs like an impossible breath through immovable cracks in the concrete
Through the eyes filled with pure holes
The longest War standing between us lifts me into directionless windows
Facing the vulturing eyes of other music-less and humbled windows.
The longest War standing between us has an enormous and impossible flesh
A curve of immense unreasoning and surprises
Descending over unseen skies
With a pinch of music to
Perfect two souls dancing in the darkness --
Over the fresh and pure earth beneath us.
