A visitor walks inside the birthplace of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini
in the city of Khomein, Iran, July 9, 2001. Visitors put up with a three
and a half hour drive from Tehran, 200 miles to the northeast, and the single,
modest guesthouse, this town of 65,000 has no hotels, to see a mud and brick
house where the father of Iran's Islamic revolution was born in 1900.
