 An eyes mosaic is seen on the subway platform on the "E" line at the World Trade Center station in New York City in this photo taken August 10, 2002. Miraculously the two eyes along with 298 others remained intact along the walls of the subterranean subway station as the massive towers collapsed above in the September 11 attacks. Now those eyes and a centerpiece 20-foot by 40-foot oval shaped mosaic, installed in 1999 to reflect New York City's diverse ethnicity, have taken on new significance.
