13 Bedar in United Irandom
Here are a few pictures of the 13 Bedar celebrations in North London, (United Irandom for the day). The smell of joojeh kabab, the ghelyoon, the sight of the eternal gher-e-kamar.
The park's car park turned open air disco thanks to the 'new generation' as I call them, with the car boots displaying the latest bass and subwoofers, blurting out the latest Persian pop tunes. For one day, there was a sense of belonging, amongst the familiar. What a beautiful tradition of a national picnic and fun day. -- Mahsa J
