I saw Professor Mohsen Shahinpoor on the Science Channel this weekend talking about his research on sold-state polymer material which could revolutionaize the design of air/spacraft. He is director of the Artificial Muscle Research Institute (AMRI) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. "The ultimate goal of the institute is to become the world's leading institution in artificial muscle research, development, and applications. The immediate goal of the institute is to develop, design, fabricate, test, and commercialize electrically and chemically controlled artificial muscles..." -- Jahanshah Javid
