Disappointed
May 7, 2005
iranian.com
My silent and deep
ruptures are
no longer evident.
And my hand no longer
shakes to feel
your skin.
Your memories
now bittersweet...
My thoughts
no longer yours.
I walk away--
A little stronger,
A dash wiser...
Smiling with confidence.
I now have seen
behind your eyes.
And have tasted what
lies behind your smile.
And frankly--
I'm no longer impressed.
