Tangled

December 8, 2006
iranian.com

don't get tangled in lies or unanswered prayers

they will bind you to a tree

with dried roots and a sour disposition

even a forest looks for a kind word

for it knows a smile can set in motion

carried on prayers

among leaves scattered by the autumn song

looking for meaning in embracing the earth

trying to find freedom in the hands of fate

don't get tangled in lies or unanswered prayers

your soul will never find peace in those moments

or the ones that follow

for your heart will remain bewildered and in shreds
