Recovering from one of my “temporary amnesia” episodes I found myself in one of my favourite locations. Must have been walking for quite a while to get here; although, I had no particular destinations in mind when I set off for a walk earlier. Exactly how and why I end up here, I cannot tell. All I know is that I was feeling unenthusiastic about existence in general. Preservation instinct was my only awaken sense, and life was literally condensed to a struggle to keep up with vital bodily functions.

I “came round” whilst standing next to an open green field with barbed wire around it. There was no one else about; a bird was chirping happily. There it was a robin on the other side of the barbed wire. I was never this close to a robin before. Its reddish face and breast looked as though the blood was diffusing out of its little heart drop-by-drop. It seemed like a symbol of inner turmoil, although the robin did not look concerned. We managed to maintain eye contact for a good few seconds before it flow away. I carried walking along the footpath, next to the field, hoping to see the robin again >>> Next
