* Sima Bina in Washington DC
SIMA BINA Saturday April 8, 2000 GW Lisner Auditorium 730 21st St.
NW Washington, DC 20052
A captivating vocalist, Sima Bina is one of the leading exponents of
the traditional music of Khorasan in Eastern Iran. For two decades she

forgotten songs and melodies. In 1994, she became the first female Iranian
vocalist to tour the West since the Revolution. This season she will bring
an all-female Iranian ensemble- tar (lute), kamancheh (fiddle), daf (frame
drum) and dhol (percussion) - to America for the first time. Tickets:
