Esteghlal defeat Al-Sad
Doha - November 3 (Iran Sports Press) -- With video: Iran's Esteghlal
defeated Qatar's Al-Sad Club 1-0 on Friday in the first leg of the Asian
Club Winner's Cup. A solo run by Ali Samere in minute 76 gave Esteghlal
the winning goal against Al-Sad. Despite dominating the match, Esteghlal
failed to finish off numerous chances infront of the Al-Sad goal >>>

Dino Zoff says 'No'
Rome - November 3 (Iran Sports Press) -- Dino Zoff, the former head
coach of Italy, said 'no' to the Iranian Football Federation offer to recruit
the experienced coach for the Iranian National Team. "I have other
things to do for improvement of my career", Dino Zoff said. Dino Zoff
resigned from the Italian National Team following Italy's second place
finish at the Euro2000 finals. He is currently coaching Italian club side
Lazio.

Persepolis defeat Al-Ain
Tehran, November 2 (Iran Sports Press) -- With video: Iran's Persepolis
defeated UAE Club champions Al-Ain 2-0 on Thursday in Azadi Stadium. The
two sides will meet again in two weeks time in Al-Ain for the return match
of the Asian Cup Winners Cup Championship. Persepolis striker Payam Rafat's
