Omid Memarian is a journalist and blogger known for his news analysis, regular columns, and blogs. He writes for IPS (Inter Press Service) news agency and Rooz Online, and has published op-ed pieces in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The San Francisco Chronicle. Omid regularly writes on Huffington Post. He was chief researcher for Reese Erlich’s book entitled Iran Agenda: the Real Story of U.S. Policy and The Middle East Crisis. A World Peace Fellow at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in 2007-2009, Omid just graduated from Berkeley. Omid Memarian received the Human Rights Watch’s highest honor in 2005, the “Human Rights Defender Award.”
