Everybod loves somebody: This blog is about RP and not his dad

by fooladi on

I believe. I commented on RP himself accordingly. Basically I do not hold him responsible for his Father's crimes. He is an Iranian like the rest of us and should join the ranks and fight against the Islamist khalifat.

My comments were to another poster who trivialised the terrible treatments of the secular political dissidents under Shah. The relative in question did not carry guns neither under shah nor under sheikh, let alone going killing people with their kids!!!. He was against terrorism of any kind and "cherik bazi". He was tortured and finally murdered by these terrible two dictatorial regimes simply because of his political beliefs, for the bookd he read. Now if you, who like the rest of us live in a western democracy, feel that people deserved to be tortured for their belifs, then I feel sorry for you. But hopefully you dont. Hopefully you believe in the propaganda fed to you by Shah and sheikh.

Comrade

by benross on

Now that this blog is off the first page (low rate I presume) and nobody's looking, I can tell you this: You are not one of them.

But you already knew that!

Yes. We'll meet again... when nobody's looking!

comrade

"[T]hat's as much as you get."

by comrade on

Do you really want to reduce it to the level of to give and to get? Or, is it about one's root and his historical/legal relevance?

Who is Reza Pahlavi without that past? Does it make sense to benefit from it, but not discuss it? It would be like owning a house with no address.

We'll meet again...I'm sure.

Democratic Iranian Intelligence Organization (DIIO), I will make sure the prisons will have all sorts of amenities your hearth desires, e.g., sauna, Jacuzzi, conjugal visit, furloughs, and etc. since I know for a fact that you and your type will never settle for any peaceful co-existence. You will continue joftak-ing around until eternity so there will be a need for prisons!

Don't worry, no torture will be allowed under my tenure! You will convert all the arid desert lands into farming fields though!

Abbas Milani's Jail House Rock!!!

by Demo on

Of course what else did you expect for the so called political dissidents like Abbas Milani, Rafsanjani, Asgar Owlaudi, Khamenei, and similar to have in their “special housing’ units of Evin prison??? These were the types marked either as “Rat”, “Informant”, and/or “Repentant.”  Did  Abbas Khan ever say anything about the whereabouts of many of students @ different universities that were being disappeared so often without any traces of them? Of course he did not. The same has been happening in IRI from their day first in power. Look now for instance. If you are with “Green Movement” you will have sauna, Jacuzzi, conjugal visit, furloughs, and etc. in your so called imprisonment time. But if you a real opponent of the regime you will end up somewhere like Kahrizak & alike or will be marked as “GOD’s enemy” & executed right away. Now we know the rest of the story.

benross

Discussing the past is off

by benross on

Discussing the past is off limit. It will never happen. He says what he stands for, and it is obvious his values can not condone many things in the past. But that's as much as you get. Nothing more. The rest is not HIS to talk about. It's OUR history.

We simply get back to where we let down modernity, undo the Islamic revolution, and continue our historic path toward modernity. If that's what you mean by back to the future.

Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime

Fooladi, I am sorry for the loss of your relative!

by Everybody Loves Somebody ... on

But, the communists during the Shah were not interested in a dialogue but instead armed resistance against not only him and his family but more importantly the members of the Armed Forces. Many members of the Iranian Armed Forces were victims of these types of terrorist acts.

In fact one anecdotal fact where MKO distinguished its mode of operation, morally speaking (oxymoron, moral and MKO?), than the communists was that in situations where they [MKO] went after the military officers to their homes they would spare their lives if the family members were present!Yes, that's what the members of the MKO bragged about circa 1979!

Now imagine, if you think MKOs are so much hated then their more barbaric and savage communists counterparts are many many times more hated!

Back to the future is the best thing he can offer. In the meantime he has shown no readiness for discussing the past. That's pending too.

Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime

Marji joon, if I may call you!

by Everybody Loves Somebody ... on

I am not expert in many many areas but I know of two things Sun will rise tomorrow and in any communications systems (human, electronic, laser, sonar, acoustic, deep space, or what have you) the receiver should be intelligent enough to pick up, detect, and distinguish between noise and the actual message!? I learned this in the AkAber school in the 50's!

Thanks for sending me the link to your favorite sculpture. My eyes went blind gazing at your avatar. BTW, I think that's what a fully developed woman should have and look like, lots of places to grab on!

fooladi

the jail house volleyball and khomeini

by fooladi on

"He", The Shah would not execute khomeini, because he was his "cold war" ally against the secular opposition forces in Iran.

And that "game of Volleyball" must have been quite a heck of a game! I know of a dear, late relative of mine who twenty five years after starting "voleyball games" in Evin under shah, continuein the game under khomeini, ended up in a hospital in London in last days of his life. The Consultant there was so shocked by his injuries (going back twent five years) that was going to call the police. We told him these injories did not happen in England. The consultant then asked us to report the injuries to "authorities in Iran" to which we retorted: The injuries were caused by the Authorities!

I wish the poor guy had avoided playing volleyball at evin!!!!

benross

The interview was not

by benross on

The interview was not staged. It was respectful and not very challenging. I've seen him in some French 'open season' type discussions and he handled the situation very very well.

As for my remarks, it was accurate because your comment was demeaning, without being based on something that can be substantiated for all of us, and even if so, it could only prove that he wasn't a very good pilot! So your comment -like Marjan 'accent' thing-falls to the same category, wether you like it or not. Quebecers call it des niaiseries.

He is a statesman. Very articulate and very well informed. I particularly liked his remark in another (Persian) interview about the residue of cold war era in Russian policy and its effect on the region. But if you want to question his leadership qualifications, may I suggest to stick to what he has to offer, what he says -with or without accent- and secondly, wait for him to CLAIM the leadership.

The latter part I suppose, is the nagging part for both of us. Leading a five second idea is not complicated. Claiming the leadership is still pending!

best of luck with you proganda campaign because it looks like mr. pahlavi is a viable options for iranians.

Everybody loves Somebody, LOL!

by Marjaneh on

Are you sure about that? Because an infant can pick up any language.

High-maintenance? I'm not a washing machine! ;)

Thanks for the compliments, although probably not based on truth! ;)

I don't know,  shouldn't leaders speak properly, so that an accent doesn't distract from what is being said?

And thank you. That's one of my favourite sculptures.

Marjaneh, one's ability in gaining or losing accents

by Everybody Loves Somebody ... on

has to do with one's vocal structure not money or level of education, I conjecture!

But more importantly, with extremely difficult and high-maintenance folks such as yourself don't you think it is better that he hasn't formed any particular accent (e.g., American, British, etc.)?

By the way, portraying yourself as such an erudite and well-versed do you think having a Western accent should be a prerequisite to be able to lead?

I like the rear tattoos on your avatar. I had to use magnifying glass though!

Marjaneh

How come, with all massive amount of money spent on someone's education, they have an accent in every language? Is it real or a Genossen-syndrome?

comrade

"Do I have mental capacity for the truth?"

by comrade on

What would that make me if I, hiding behind an avatar, disclose the name of a confidant? The option of dismissing my claim  as  hearsay is conveniently available to those of us who see the need for depicting RP as perfect.

What surprised me was your attempt in order to equate the cheap-shot remarks about his physical attributes with my comment which was about  assessing his ability to be a leader.

I do remember the news reel which was made to ward off the rumours about  Reza being mute. The scene showed little Reza in His Majesty's office in Marmar Palace responding to his father's request to hand over a book. He gave the book and the public shut up and moved to the next gossip. Why? Maybe because dictatorships provide suitable breeding ground for political rumours.

I commend you, however, for your observation about this video being staged(my words, not yours). I think it's the right time for him to face more genuine audience instead of appearing in what ultimately would look like paid advertisements.

I don't want to hold you up here, when I know you would like to go there, to kick some un-royal(I still don't know if I can write asses).

Everybody Loves Somebody Sometime

Mr. RP is the most viable alternative

by Everybody Loves Somebody ... on

to represent Iranians in the international stage and one that can carry himself with grace, pride, articulation, clarity of conscience, and respect.

When it comes to representing one's nation no leader has to or is obliged to or needs to gain the trust and votes of the ignorant, imbecile, and criminal elements of that nation and Mr. RP is no exception to that rule! Last time a leader succeed in luring in all kinds of trash, subversives, criminals, and whatnot under a single umbrella of constituency was Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979 and the result is what we have today. Iran can not afford another colossal mistake like that.

Fortunately, most of the younger and many of the older generations of Iranians do realize the great potential and the light at the of the tunnel in Mr. RP. This should be a once in a life time opportunity for RP and the supporters to leverage and spring jump Iran to the next state of freedom, security, prosperity, respect, and glory around the world!

Go RP!

IQ

by benross on

Americans were not impressed by his IQ score

Source please. I know when I was young I couldn't be qualified to become a fighter pilot. It is a very demanding job for physical condition. And I'm not talking about muscles. They can be trained and get stronger. The nervous system of a fighter pilot should be very balanced and responsive.

When RP was just a kid, the same kind of trash cans we regularly see in IC were propagating the rumor that the prince Reza Pahlavi was retarded (Katouzian book). This is quite in line with the sick and twisted minds that produce 'factual' numbers for Pahlavi victims, without even mentioning once, that throughout our recent history, nobody came forward to say loud and clear I thought Takhti was killed by the regime of Shah, I was wrong. I thought Samad Behrangi was killed by the regime, I was wrong. I thought Shariati was killed by the regime, I was wrong. I thought Khomeini son was killed by the regime and... time and time again, I was wrong. If I don't come clean with the past, would I, could I, claim the number of victims in Jaleh square is this or that, and this or that number is the truth and nothing but the truth? Do I have mental capacity for the truth?

And one more thing about the victims of Pahlavi regime. It's been sixty years since 1953 dismissal of Mossadegh. And these Mossadeghists and communists never stopped begging for attention by self victimization. But all those victims, that I know they exist, have names and identity don't they? They have brothers, sisters, spouse or children to remember them don't they? How come after sixty years, and after thirty years that the regime no longer exists, we can not produce an exact number of victims, backed by the names and dates and addresses?! We know of some, I personally know of few, but what we know doesn't add-up to numbers they often claim.

You might think these are off topic. They are not. Talking about RP nose, his IQ, all those unsubstantiated claims of casualties during Pahlavi regime, they are all the same thing and they have all produced the same thing: IRI. It is so unmistakably reactionary.

Now back to this interview, coming from Orange county, not surprisingly it was a friendly and not very challenging interview. But a very good one nonetheless. He mentioned what the West can do to support Iranians. He didn't say a word about how Iranians should be organized to regain power. He did not say anything about that, because it is non of the business of a foreign journalist. That matter should be addressed to Iranians themselves. This is one point -among others- that the intelligence of a person is not always in what he says. Most importantly, it's often about what he doesn't.

The word “mansion” is a commonly used word among street bums, who incidentally never worked in their lives, when taking about the “ghettos” they live in!!!

PS: Even though Reza’s dad ran away from his country like a coward traitor he left SAVAK (a MOSAD’s subsidy), all other intelligence organizations, Evin prison & all other dissidents’ slaughter houses intact. All those places remained in their full services but with new names & titles as the streets, cities, buildings, and etc. were also decorated only with new names!! Now we know the rest of the story.

Re: Pahlavi fortune

by Agha_Irani on

I have no doubt that many of the comments made about the Pahlavis illegally taking money out of the country are true.

But what no one has mentioned so far is how much mullahs like Khamenei and his cronies like AN and the IRGC have stolen from Iran.  I am sure that when history sheds light on the theft of Iran's wealth by its rulers, the magnitude of the mullahs larceny over the last 31 years will dwarf anything seen before in Iranian history even taking economic factors such as inflation into account.

The people who have really looted Iran are the mullahs - all for the sake of having their backward Islamic ummah (and of course for their self-enrichment), at the expense of the Iranian nation and its peoples.

Or on a subject which has nothing to do with it.

He was sent to the USA to become a pilot shortly before the revolution. One of the members of his entourage confided in us that the Americans were not impressed by his IQ score. It's a strange world that the same Americans voted for George W. Bush to become their president some years later. Or was he selected by a court?

A No Way Return Tale of the Despised Dynasty, Sean NewYorky

by Demo on

Pahlavis ruled the country for 53 years. The evidence for their plundering of the country is as good as anybody’s evidence for Mullahs’ plundering of the country for the past 31 years. If some trustworthy investigators ever (in our dreams!) will be allowed access to the all the past & present records of the banks, treasury depts., etc. of the 2 corrupt regimes, then we can talk. But with the oil & other vast natural resources of the country the common sense will lead to the same conclusion for the past & present rulers’ corruption when the poverty rates, corruption, and other country miseries have been @ the roof in the past & the present.

PS: When did IRI sue Pahlavis?? How have Reza & his siblings/mom been surviving in their mansions for the past 31 years with even having worked a single day in their lives??

Not a question of respect and honour...

by fooladi on

A question of maintaining focus on overthrowing the islamist khalifa, making his agents on this site (both of them and their multiple ID's !!) redundant.

I am not a monarchist by any stretch of imagination.

Having said that, I simply dont get it why this guy should stand up and say "goh khordam", on behalf of his father and grandfather. I am only interested in hearing from him if he is for a free democtratic Iran, where every Iranain regardless of his political and regious affiliation cand stand and vote for the palimament.

What we need today is Unity, Unity against the islamist khalifat regime.
