P.S. On the serious side, all those other sites mentioed below have such serious discussions and exchnage of ideas (all in Persian), I sometimes ask myself: what the heck am I doing in here?

"communists failed"? No way!
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Mon Aug 29, 2011 06:36 PM PDTChe Guevara is still admired by lots of ladies so many years after his death. I bet you do too soosan khanoom! I for one would grow my hair long like him, with beard. except I lost my hair in my twenties, too much male hormones apparently!
Well that was my own heroic defence of communism and marxism leninism. I leave the serious one to Mashty.

As soon as I mention "Communists"
by Soosan Khanoom on Mon Aug 29, 2011 06:10 PM PDTI knew you will show up as soon as I mention "Communists" ... Perhaps I wanted to ... I missed fighting with U ; )
I solute anyone who stands up for justice being a communist or not ... but you need to grow out of the ideology itself cause it has failed in more than one country... I know things looks so passionate on the paper and in theory but, communism, once reaches the power, will going to fail so miserably just like any other, " either my way or high way ", ideologies.

ROFLM!
by Tiger Lily on Mon Aug 29, 2011 05:27 PM PDTFeudalism in the proper sense didn't exist in Iran, for a very simple reason: quantity of land had nothing to do with fertile land.
Btw I require a "monarch", albeit of illiterate and primitive origin to pronounce pAndzdah, as pAndzdah, not poonzdah.
And I just LOVE the so-convincing clips of photos: his predecessor, you know , the other oh-so-progressive guy who, at the point of the hang-man had issues with people's headgear and tore down most of the architectural gems that existed in favour of the most ridiculous nouveau evenement that we still endure till today and replenish in a damaged psyche.
If anything, the video is a very clear example of why. A because of the complete lack of a civil society to flourish and be effectively creative in a country of enormous resources.
What a shame. Such a sad shame.

They need to show they are intellectual, so every day they come here and ask others about the past. Isn't it a good hobby?

Bombing targets only revolutionary guards, nuclear sites
by Siavash300 on Mon Aug 29, 2011 12:39 AM PDTIsraeli understands that bombing civilian will units Iranians against foreign force. They compeletely realize this reality. The possible bomboing attack or rather air strike only had meant to target revolutionay guards headquarter and some sites with minimal human live damage. The main objective is to damage facilities or delay mullahs have aqccess to nuclear power which is a big threat to state of Israel. The easiest and best way is to get rid of ruling mullahs by people of Iran. That task could have been doen by green movement. However, the green movement is not strong enough to stand against ruling mullahs. The bomboing intervention was still on the table up to several months agao. The viruses that paralysed mullah's computers did a good job so far. Therefore, no need for military intervention at this point.

When I first met JJ; ask JJ ...
by BoosBoos on Sun Aug 28, 2011 07:49 PM PDTWhen I first met JJ a man came and interrupted our conversation online:
It's this man here:

And he basically was very upset with JJ (I don't know the details) -- but it's a true story; I don't know what his history is but he certainly doesn't seem totally crazy and neither does JJ (I do know the other fellow is outspoken against the Iranian government); I gave JJ the benefit of the doubt ('it's their problem not mine' - kind of thing). But it only took a couple of days after I signed up for the site that a group of people were falsely labeling me an "IRI Spy" and then saying in the next breath that people who work for the IRI should be killed.
True story.
NIAC now "IRI spies" .. apple doesn't fall from tree, right JJ ?

by BaronAvak on Sun Aug 28, 2011 07:29 PM PDT"Supporting" Israel may not be a crime, but you should admit what you are, which is an anti-Iranian, pro-Israeli who hates Iran and wants to destroy it by means of bombs.
And I agree, anyone in the U.S. who gives money to Hezbollah, Hamas, or other groups would be breaking U.S. law. However, no one is doing that so perhaps you should discuss something that someone has actually done, like you issuing death threats and promoting mass homicide against the Iranian people. As an American greencard holder / citizen you should be aware it is ILLEGAL to make death threats on the Internet, as well as advocate for the assassination of political leaders, which is another violation of U.S. federal law.
However, you may be posting from Israel and therefore feel exempt from U.S. law.

BAN IRANIAN OIL
by afshin on Sun Aug 28, 2011 06:06 PM PDTThree pages of posts and counter posts. Clearly some people have entirely too much time on teir hands. Having said that, I think the best way to overthrow the IRI is to have a worldwide boycott of Iranian oil. Any entitty purchasing Iranian oil, should be sanctioned and excluded from the US and EU markets. Not a single shot will be fired. The economy will essentially crash. Iran has a about a 2 year reserve of currency and gold that it could burn through before it goes broke, but once the process starts, they will be overthrown. It's time the US government got rid of the sanctions that really don't matter and implemented sanctions with teeth.
What's going on here?
by Reality-Bites on Sun Aug 28, 2011 05:13 PM PDTWhat's with all this: "ooh I'm going to complain to NIAC, I'm going to tell Trita about you, I'm going to the FBI, I'm going to the NYPD, then I'm going to UN Security Council"....!
BB, what's got you so riled up? What are you going to complain to those organizations about? That you don't like the views of some people on IC?
Seriously, how old are you? You sound like a spoiled juvenile crying off to mummy, every time someone says something you don't like.
Either grow up or if you can't handle differing views, then you shouldn't be posting on sites like IC and instead just stick to places where only like minded people comment. That way you won't get upset so easily, which will have you running off to agents Mulder and Scully to complain.
