سایه شان آرام آرام از سر شهر کم می شود. این داستان تهران و چنارهای معروفترین و بلند ترین خیابانش است که از سال ها پیش باعث نگرانی شده است. آمار می گوید به طور متوسط روزی دو چنار در خیابان ولیعصر تهران می میرند. آیدین صالحی، بی بی سی، گزارش می دهد.

They need to educate people and impose thougher penalties. Everything is backwards in Islamic Republic.

This site needs a blog JUST on the eviornmental diasters (yes in plural) currently occuring in Iran. Unfortunately not all of them get as much publicity as Lake Oromieh.

I long to see Valiasr street as the place of reckoning for this regime as its executioners hang high!

Many small business owners who own or operate retail stores on the south part of the Valiasr st. blame these trees for obstructing their windows. Hence, gradual chemical deterioration is an illicit way of getting rid of these trees. Of course this is not the only reason for decimation of these trees, but a considerable portion, while the rest perish due to IRI's gross negligence and/or incompetence. I hope i've come clearer this time!

Priorities

Fundamentally, environemnt is not a concern for IRI for its ideology is based on metaphysics and supernatural tenets. Hence, the call for almighty's sattisfaction supercedes that of his creations. This increment is just another part of the whole philosophical drive turning IRI into a failed state!
