Khebedin the lying non-Iranian Muslim myth maker
by Hooshang Tarreh-Gol on Sun Dec 18, 2011 09:29 PM PSTVast parts of Iran refused to even participate in the election or because their votes were against IR the all their ballots were dismissed. These provinces included Kurdestan, Khoseztan, Baluchestan,...So this horse s..t of 99% is only your fictional lie, like all you other lies.
Since day one Islamic Republic of Hell was faced with opposition to its bloody rule. Such opposition came from Iranian women, National and religious minorities, unemployed workers,...
Not sure from under which rock Vzarat Ettelat found you and planted you in here, but if you had the vaguest idea of what has been happening in Iran for the past 32 years, you would have know that for three decades Iranian people have been attempting to over throw Islamic Repbulic of Hell, with thinking.
All lying muslims will go to hell, enjoy.
99% of Iranians voted for
by Khebedin on Sun Dec 18, 2011 09:08 PM PST99% of Iranians voted for IRI. Can you imagine?. And now we are doing the same mistake, trying to change a system without proper thinking
A great event
by MRX1 on Sun Dec 18, 2011 06:10 PM PSTI don't recall in Thousend years of Iranian history any regime or any person made any attempt to celeberate Iranian history, gave a tribute to the past and even make a slight attempt (Not enough in my judgement) to resurect Iranian identity. (change of that dumb khorshidi calander was one of the best moves but simply not enough)
Unfortunatley a lot of Iranian people are submerged in shiekh o omati psyche, from every level of the society be it a peasent in a village or PHD's from Harvard, columbia and ivy league school which is why these folks do not appreciate this event, or any other events like this.
For these folks tazieh, azadari, sineh zani is what makes their psychee happy which is why they all have fallen in love the green moevment so they can just move from one sheikh o omati cocnept to just another one with different flavor.
Great documentary
by Elham57 on Sun Dec 18, 2011 05:42 PM PSTI wasn't even alive then, but I heard about it.
There may have been some overspending, but the intention was patriotic: Glorify Iran's great civilization
God bless Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi
Of 2500
by پندارنیک on Sun Dec 18, 2011 04:02 PM PSTI don't know where the title" Cyrus, never sleep"(or something like that) has come from........the famous quote is "Cyrus sleep in peace"(or something like that)............I only wonder what caused the change.........Aren't the Pahlavist-Chalabist fellows causing some kind of confusion for the big king? Make up your mind, you useless bunch, is he supposed to sleep or stay up? let me put a couple of these here :)) before saying:
The problem with these celebrations and any other royal event such as His Majesty's belated coronation was that they were indeed exclusively royal and detached from the masses..........the same masses which brought down the dictatorial regime of the corrupt Shah during the Great Revolution of 57 on the Iranian calendar..................The rest is history.............
god bless
by shushtari on Sun Dec 18, 2011 03:38 PM PSTthe shah and his father.... nooshe jooneshoon....I wish they had spent 10x more on events like this

by Bahram G on Sun Dec 18, 2011 03:26 PM PSTSeason Gretings to you worthy son of Iran. You rise above human imperfections and see the gems which may be buried under tons of sands. You, intentionally and wisely overlook the past shortcomings of our governments and people and exhort us to strive for that is worthy and noble.
Your sense of humor is indeed a reflection of your outstanding outlook. Please stay the course and sing the praises of our suffering homeland.
As for your request for "tools." they are already on a UPS truck heading your way. But, please, don't get to work right away. This is a holiday time. It is not our norooz, but a holiday in our adopted country. May the holidays bring you and your dear family the very best life has to offer.
Eternally yours,
Bahram g

Bahram G. Jan: Baa Dorood Faravan & Merry Christmas!
by Oon Yaroo on Sun Dec 18, 2011 02:32 PM PSTAll rags, socks, turbans, towels, bed-sheets, lahaf, patoo, carpet, lowngs, curtains, and other similar items the Middle Eastern men and women wear around their heads and bodies must be declared illegal and banned! :-)
When they go outside they should wear kott o shalvar!
When they are inside they can be naked or what ever they feel like!
As for reesh o pashm, I would increase the production of vajebee at least 10 fold. All men and women who wear facial hair must get rid of them!
Bahram Jaan, give me the tools and I will turn them into clean and respectable people!
God bless you and your family!
propaganda?
by Tiger Lily on Sun Dec 18, 2011 02:25 PM PSTI doubt that a retarded child would believe any of this crap psychological necrophilia. They couldn't find an Iranian cook? How about a national tupperware party?
Anyway, anymore of this cyrus cult crap and I'm seriously going to scream. It's almost 2012 AD.
Here is a much better clip to watch.....

by Bahram G on Sun Dec 18, 2011 02:16 PM PSTSo what do you think? Wearing sheet-bed, or hejaab for women and RISH-o-PASHM by men? :)). Or should we all, men and women, dispense with clothes altogether and be 100 percent natural?
From Korosh to Iranians:
by iraj khan on Sun Dec 18, 2011 01:21 PM PST"I am really really sleepy now, can I at least, take a short nap?"
Ridiculous!
by Cyrus Khorasani on Sun Dec 18, 2011 12:41 PM PSTObviously, neither the producers of or the commentators in this documentary have any sense of even modern Iranian history!
The first significant push to comemmorate Iran's ancient history and unearth arecheological treasures occured with the establishment of the Society of National Heritage in 1921. The statesman who conceived of the initiative was Abdolhossein Teymourtash who invited others such as Moshir ol Dowleh, Keokhosro Shahrokh, Nosrat ol Dowleh Firouz, Zoka al Molk Foroughi, Hossein Mostowfi, Ali Akbar Davar, Hossein Ala, Ebrahim Hakimi, Nasrollah Taqavi and and Issa Saddiq to his house to inaugurate the group.
As one recent scholar has noted, “In effect, the men who made up the SNH were also those who manufactured modern Iran.” (Talinn Grigor, Building Iran: Modernism, Architecture and National Heritage [2009] page 41).
Over the course of the next decade the the Society for National Heritage group ensured that archeology and history enjoyed pride of place in the emerging nationalist discourse by establishing museums, orderding archeological excavations, and restoring the rsting place of Ferdowsi and others.By 1930 hundreds of pieces of Iranian antiquities had been dispalyed in museums in London, Paris, and St. Petersburg.
So much for the narrative in this documentary and the clueless commentary that makes it sound these efforts commenced in the 1950s and 1960s. Pure propoganda.
A 45 seond substance!
by Arj on Sun Dec 18, 2011 11:08 AM PST...dragged into76 minutes! Watching this propaganda piece is as suffocating as watching IRI's praise of Khomeini and his similarities to 'A'emeh At'har' and the prophet or the invisible Emam! When are we Iranians going to get over this idle-worshipping, think rationally and see humans as humans instead of dieties!
Although could not watch the whole thing, here are some examples of fallacies in the first few minutes:
@10:00 The guy is trying to turn Cyrus into "Massiah" and his government into "the first ever UN" (whatever that's supposed to mean!) by weaving quotes from Hegel, Toynbee, and of all things, Bible!!
@11;25 Another guy claims that as a result of the White Revolution, "all farmers became land owners and propriators of water sources." A claim that dumbfounds any sane person who did and does live in reality! For even in the most developed countries, not all farmers are land-owners!
@12:00 Farah Pahlavi claims that "Iran was no longer a third world nation." Based on what infrastructure? An oil-based rentier economy that 90% of whose GDP relied on oil revenue?!
Why do we have to blow everthing into some make-believe grandeur?!
What a farce! They also changed Iranian Calendar date to fit this
by Hooshang Tarreh-Gol on Sun Dec 18, 2011 09:52 AM PST2500 horse feces. That was a really big hit, not.
Red Wine is right. Such a momumental gargantuan farce and all they could find in the world is only three people who could talk about it! Not a single hint of critical thinking. A total waste of an hour.
What's with all this identity crap. we have to be pure nationalsit or religious or any other ideology. Wath's wrong with just being. Just a human being. Proud of your national heritage and beliefs, but not crazy about them either.

by Oon Yaroo on Sun Dec 18, 2011 09:12 AM PSTReza Shah and Mohammad Reza Shah gave identity to a bunch of Khar Savar and Shotor Savar. Without these two great men, Iranians would look exactly like Afghans! A bunch of bed-sheet wearing nomads!
It is very informative as how the celebration came about
by عموجان on Sun Dec 18, 2011 09:07 AM PSTMay be they couldn’t interview more than three people because the rest were executed by Islamic Republic. Like the way they talk about the type of military cloth they wore and why.
Islamic Republic should do one too, their cloth should be the same since Mohamad, Rags.
Thank you, Shah.
