I am an American Born
by ShahRokh Niavarani (not verified) on Sun Oct 14, 2007 11:45 PM PDTAs an American born whose ancestors immigrated from Iran I applaud these people for chosing peace. Everyone knows that America is the strongest country in the world.
Everyone knows that it was America who told the Shah to leave Iran in 1979. And what did the Shah do? He left Iran in January 1979.
It was America who told the Shah to die in Egypt. And what did the Shah do? He died in Egypt.
It was America who ordered the Ayatollah Khomeini to return to Iran in 1979. And what did the Ayatollah do? He took and Air France plane back to Iran.
Get the picture?
America is the best. Fuck the rest.
And the theocracy will live forever in Iran.
Why?
Because America wants it that way. And not even 70 million mother fuckers can stop it.
So, Reza Big nose Pahlavi and Maryam Rajavi, the Jendeh could go suck dick and die.
God bless America.
And may the next US President go to Tehran and open up direct talks. Direct talks will fuck those Iranian mother fuckers who don't like that kind of stuff up the ass.

Clarifying some points
by Ali_Nasri (not verified) on Sun Oct 14, 2007 08:13 PM PDTDear readers, since there seems to be some misunderstandings among our fellow Iranians regarding our project "miles for peace", I would like to clarify some points:
1-All members of the team are volunteer social workers at a non-governmental charity organization in Iran called "Rahmat" (mercyforall.org). The trip was funded by their own personal contributions, borrowed money, private donations and the support of various NGOs and peace organizations. We received no money from any governmental institutions, Iranian or other.
2-Wearing (or keeping) a headscarf was the personal choice of each girl in our team. They each had their personal reasons, which we respected. It was not at all meant as a religious statement or promotion. Our message was the universal message of peace and dialog among nations, beyond any particular religion, ideology or political view. Our message was very well received by many well recognized peace and women rights organizations, including affiliated U.N NGOs.
3-We were covered and interviewed by a wide range of media news agencies and channels, from Fox news to CNN to CBS, DemocracyNow!...etc
4-We met with many Congresspeople, mayors, governors, activists, religious and cultural figures from various views. We debated and tired to change the mind of those who had a more pro-war stand (such as Senator Lieberman) and encouraged the ones who promoted dialog and non-violent alternative solutions.
5- Aside from all our political differences, different interpretations of recent history, past grudges, baseless accusations and labelings...etc if there is ONE thing over which we can all agree on, and which is indeed the only "sacred" thing for all of us (and I am sure even Mr Javid will agree with that) is PEACE for our country. So, let's not pollute this one concept with our usual destructive habits and prejudgments.
Please feel free to contact me for any questions about miles for peace or our future projects at: Ali_nr@hotmail.com
Best regards,
Ali Nasri
Beware, the pigs of war
by Iranian patriot (not verified) on Sun Oct 14, 2007 07:59 PM PDTWar pigs call anyone who opposes attacking Iran an IRI agent, Islamic thug, Islamofascist, blah, blah, blah...Public opinion polls in every country in the world (INCLUDING THE U.S.) show that majorities oppose attacking Iran, except for ONE country: Israel...That gives us a better idea who the pro-war pigs are.
A warning to the war-pigs: If Uncle Sam or your Zionist masters attack Iran, Iranian patriots will make sure that you war-pigs pay a very heavy price. Do you understand that, Moshe?

MULLAH AGENTS
by Anonymous2007 (not verified) on Sun Oct 14, 2007 06:39 PM PDT1-Instead of this, they should be going to ahmadinejad and ask him to stop killing his own people.
2-Some captions could have helped. Who the fuck is who? What are they doing? How did they get there? "Here we are" is NOT enough.
Jahanshah Javid...why do you publish such crap?
Hmm!
by Skeptical (not verified) on Sun Oct 14, 2007 06:39 PM PDTLet's see...yes they have put on lots of miles on this peace journey, but the whole thing seems a bit odd. For one thing, those freakin' Arab-inspired head scarves reflect the very absence of peace and equality among the group itself.

farrad02Sun Oct 14, 2007 05:43 PM PDT

Does the M.D. stand for Mental Deficit?
When I saw the title and the mission, I felt like joining. NO
by caspianseamermaid (not verified) on Sun Oct 14, 2007 03:56 PM PDTNO THANK YOU. I saw a picture with a woman with a headscarf. This has nothing to do with 'freedom of religious expression', but everything to do with 'look , oh look how important I am', a cultural definition which is so disgustingly misogynist (is there a term for female self perversing misogyny?) that err, no thank you. No war, yes. No equal rights for women, NO!
