I Doubt it that sex and nude images are necessarily an advantage in the world of consumerism and commercialism. I am not denying that it does exist, but it has lost its appeal by a great measure.

Let's face it, sex and nudity are about commerce, sex and nudity are used to sell products to consumers in this society. I think it is clear that a top fashion model whether clad or nude is making her living selling her looks...I am not going to say that I am morally outraged, I am just tired of our "in your face" society which seems incapable of subtlety...as long as nude women cause more upset than nude men...we have a double standard and have not progressed...really. Note how porno sites rarely show the man's face. The other day I saw a bill board on HWY 101 advertising God knows what with a naked man in a bath tub with two naked women and his face was a blue balloon while theirs were exposed...I am tired of all this nonsence where a continuation of sexism and exploitation of sex for commercial purposes is passed off to us as freedom of expression...I wonder what kind of karma a model posing nude accumulates from all the lusting men who look at her photos with only one thing in mind? Is that a good thing, does it have some socially redeeming value? Does it enhance women's position in our society? I am not an advocate of hejab at all, I think dress should be a matter of individual choice but with or without legislation, people tend to obey social pressure to conform to whatever clothing standards or economic class related dress standards are in place in a society. If nudity were an accepted social norm in our society as it is in some societies and not a novelty then no one would fuss about it and the producers would lose a source of revenue because no one would pay for nudity. 

 I have to admit that I find it refreshing from time to time to be in a place like Iran where women are not parading around in various stages of undress and can express more with their eyes than their nipples....I mean yes Roshani is extremely well endowed in the breast department, does it make less well endowed women feel jealous to see these photos assuming we all think big tits are desirable?...how would you feel if a man extremely well endowed in the penis department had photos with his gonads displayed on the home page of Iranian.com? Is it any wonder that other cultures find us superficial here? Look at how much money is spent on breast augmentation! What is the problem, are we weened too early as babies here that we never get enough tit? It is amazing that Audrey Hepburn ever made it in Hollywood  based on her acting ability where Titism reigns supreme....

Yes, I think as a woman and as a human being, we must respect our body as much as our soul. A woman selling her body as an item, is her own choice and we respect it. But she can't be a symbol of woman's freedom in my book.
Thus if her picture is used for such a purpose, yes it is a disrespect to many women who have lost their fundamental & basic rights and are fighting for getting them back.

What does a sexy super model accomplish, other than exposing her body to the public? What does this action bring for the human society?

I admire the beauty of a perfect body, yes I do. But everything has its own value in its own place in my world.

I appreciate "Mad TV" too but it won't replace  a great documentary on the WWII for me.
