Holly and Marge
by AsteroidX on Mon Mar 08, 2010 01:13 PM PSTThis is a discussion board and people are free to give their opinions, which may differ from yours. Please be respectful of that and stop using abusive language and attacks. JJ wanted controversy and he got it.
Marge said it again
by HollyUSA on Mon Mar 08, 2010 01:06 PM PSTYes I second her 'shut up'! What the hell? She's beautiful and a woman's beauty is every bit a part of her as is her intellect. Deal with it.
As a woman, and as an Iranian woman, my self respect or my respect for women doesn't go to hell because this gets posted today or any other day. If it did, I hope that I would have the sense to question how real and deeply rooted that 'respect' was to begin with.
Thanks for posting this, both author and JJ.
KouroshS
by AsteroidX on Mon Mar 08, 2010 01:07 PM PSTPlease see my previous comments to that where I have actually said there is nothing wrong with a beautiful body, and I posted famous statues of Greek Gods in their full naked glory. I am not one of those complaining. What I said is that I can now see the point Souri is making, that JJ decided to post naked females on Women Day but why not naked men for Womens Day. And his coice of putting this article ahead of others on women on Womens Day. Surely that is a point. The photos posted were those suiting MEN! Not that I mind, but I can see Souri's point.
Can I also point out that what I do in my own privacy is my own business, I do not flaunt it in public and put it in people's faces. Whereas JJ is the Editor and has a certain responsibility to his readers, which include women. This is a public place.

by Miko on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:58 PM PSTPeople are going nuts ?
by Rea on Mon Mar 08, 2010 01:00 PM PSTMust be.
If all they see in this gorgeous young body is politics and putting down of women, then, there must be something terribly wrong with the world. :o)
Sexologists of the world UNITE!
by KouroshS on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:56 PM PSTChristmas in March?:))
So that is what they mean when they say we want "separation of religion and government" hmm.. interesting. It all make so much sense now.
Asterorid X
As long as women have the power and freedom to look at Johnny depp's and Wilber Valderama and Brad Pit halabi's Oiled up photos , There really is no such thing as "this is still a man's world". Because that would be "you" wanting to look at men in a certain way and as sex objects too!
Hamsade Ghadimi
That is not his only achievement, He gives you and upclose and inside look into every single one of those ladies. That way you will get to know them before you do anything crazy:)

Farah Diba services Iranian Army & dead daughter services Satan
by yahoo_yabo on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:48 PM PSTThat is the fastest way that the Monarchists can get anywhere.
I'd like to thank Farah Diba for not charging anyone in the Iranian Army for her services to them.
On the other hand, her daughter who committed suicide two years ago has agreed to be Satan's new bitch in Hell. Congrats!
"A demonstration of individual freedom"???
by Zara on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:44 PM PSTJahanshah, unless she mailed you the photos herself (which doesn't seem the case from your description) AND you have deep knowledge of her motivation in posing for the photos, choosing this line of work, doing the surgery, etc., there is no way to assume that this is a demonstration of individual freedom. It could be... but it could also be a demonstration of individual desperation, delusion, or God knows what. All things considered it's quite unlikely to represent a gesture of freedom on her part, and THAT is why it's not appropriate for International Women's Day.
Violation of FCC rules, next up Farah Diba poses naked, Azadeh
by yahoo_yabo on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:44 PM PSTThis photo is a violation of FCC rules.
2. Also the support shown by the most visible MOnarchists once again rings HOLLOW all their yelling regarding "prositution has gone up under IRI" or their compaints about "rape"
IF THERE IS SOMETHING MONARCHISTS ARE FOR < IT IS WITHOUT A DOUBT:
!. PROSITUTION 2. RAPE 3. ADDICTION
And Finally, our feminazis after being done burning Hijab are now showing us what they have in mind on Women's Day---HA Ha HA
Great Job Azadeh Azad
To all Feminazis out there, I suggest you get with your Monarchist friends. You get to show Women's freedom by posing naked, and your Monarachist friends clap and pay you some money, ofcourse in return for some favors, which ofcourse you Femisints WOUldn't mind
JJJ, the only-title-neviss is now your secretary of censorship ?

Self sensorship is an integral part of a free society !!!
by tabriz_balasi on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:42 PM PSTPosters of these kind of stuff on the Iranian.com don't know the fist thing about FREEDOM. Freedom is based on Respect. A society that has respect amongst its citizens doesn't have to legislate "hejaab" and other represive modes of forcing decency in the society. But a society that doesn't understand respect and what is and what is not approperiate should have no freedom.
JUst one more point, good luck defeating Islamic Republic with these methods. the only force that can defeat KHamenie is another Islamic movement with a new interpretation of Islam, not secularism.
be an act at all times in the name of Allah.
Gorgeous young lady
by Rea on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:42 PM PSTLet's not be jealous! :o)
Happy Women's Day, wherever you are :):)
? Edited
by capt_ayhab on Mon Mar 08, 2010 01:09 PM PSTIt is rather odd that when are not fighting about political issues, we are hard at it on an issue as light as this thread. No pun intended toward International Women day.
She is beautiful with great body and gorgeous everything else. Photos are not pornographic and they are tasteful. What is wrong with ANY women showing her body is she wishes too?

Why do you ask if they[them boobs] are fake, because they are way too symmetrical and round. Maryam jun's ladies[boobs] do not have that distinct natural shape that they should. Just look at them in the mirror if you own couple of those ladies[boobs] ;-)

I am not angry
by Souri on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:35 PM PSTI have lived in France for almost 20 years, me too. I've seen all this, in all kind of way that you can imagine.
It is even nice to see a beautiful naked body (woman or man) sometimes. Nothing wrong with that.
I'm only mad at JJ when he is not honest. That's all!
As a very progressive and freedom fighter male journalist, he could leave the opportunity of posting a super model's pictorial at an other time, rather can coming here and saying that he did it as a cry for "individual freedom"!
Are you kidding?
God Bless You...

by AsteroidX on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:25 PM PSTThere are also other articles about women today on IC - did you see the News section, I posted a few. But I see what you are trying to say. I suppose it proves it is still a Man's World and we are seen in a certain way as Women, whatever they say. However much they want to support us as equals, we will always be seen sex objects first. But I do not find that offensive as long as it is not vulgar! I live in the UK and we have newspapers daily with topless women so am used to this type of in-your-face reminder of what they consider we are on this planet for.
But what the heck? Go look at some nice photos of Johnny Depp and cheer up! Life's too short.
Women's day?!
by Mehrban on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:21 PM PSTWhat the heck is woman's day? Is it one out of the 365 days of the year. Now that is offensive!
They say...
by ghalam-doon on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:18 PM PSTThey say they're not fake. Just take a look at pic # 8. Do they look real to you? Last time that I saw such huge knockers was in a strip joint.
B.T.W., I still don't know what she looks like since I was clicking on the "next" to see more of her HUGE boobs. My feeling is that most men here were doing the same thing.
Appropriate for the Women's day? I think not. But what the heck. "Nothing is sacred." Even if we post some pictures of a stripper in celebration of the Women's day.
Prince chubby will ask "his people" to "vote" if they want her!
by Anonymouse on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:17 PM PSTEverything is sacred.
I say it again
by Souri on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:17 PM PSTFor those who still didn't get it:
The picture is not controversial by itself!
The action of posting it at the main page on such a day in Iranian.com is controversial!
How many times we have seen those kind of pictures here? who care?
But this is our day! Should the publisher have a little bit more respect in this regard, nobody was complaining.
Agreed, very beautiful body.
But today we liked to see some other aspect of an Iranian woman's achievement to applaud.
Too bad if some people still didn't get it!

by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:10 PM PSTto be president and king of Iran. She'd not afraid to let it all hang out! It's a long list, but she's still right to be on it.
Reading all the angry post
by Morveln on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:09 PM PSTReading all the angry post from some female subscribers on this site ... I think it smells jealousy! For sure she is beautiful, but you still dont get it! We ARE not in Iran, WE must be able to publish things that NOT ALL PEOEPLE AGREE TO!
This is the basics of freedom of speech! Why you so angry?
You can not dictate what is "right" or "wrong" - as I said earlier, this is also an expression!
Most beautiful portrait of an Iranian woman (doubt shes iranian though!)- makes me proud! Didnt knew we had it in us.
some of us are sexually frustrated
by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:08 PM PSTwe don't know how to react or even react nicely. How can this be controversial. She's attractive. The end. Enjoy. So much talk talk talk. Shut up!
happy women's day
by hamsade ghadimi on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:07 PM PSTi like to congratulate everyone on women's day. we should also be mindful that some women are great at cooking, and tending to children and the house. although the photo essay is missing an essay, it could have easily included quotes from some notable feminists like hugh hefner who have worked their butt off to make modeling of human body as acceptable as it is today. thanks jj for all the hard work. ;)
jahelo, you're beginning to really creep me out. i'm glad that as conservative as you and your husband are, you're embracing the lifestyle of the young ones around you pretty well. i just wish you were also supportive of young people in iran as you're in your household.
JJJ recommnd using Farsi titles 4 Persian "erotica" of all kind!
by Anonymouse on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:06 PM PSTEverything is sacred.
Jaleho/JJ
by Souri on Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:00 PM PSTJaleho: Of all that you said, there's only the first question which deserve a reply. What is lvl "in Farsi?" It is because when I write English words in a Farsi text, it becomes a total mess with the font. So I write it in Farsi, assuming everybody here understand what I mean.
For the rest of your comment: NO comment!
JJ: you said : How often is that allowed to happen?
How often? It depends to where ?
In Iran: Never! In the US: almost every day.
In the Iranian.com: Whenever you need to get a huge hit!
in addition: and it is also a demonstration of individual freedom by an Iranian woman...
No it is not! That woman is doing this as a job. She doesn't give a shit to the individual freedom of the Iranian women. This is your own "excuse" to justify this action of publishing such a controversial picture at the site on such a cherished day for the Iranian women!
