It seems unhealthy to think of Iran and the Islamic Republic. It's too depressing. I don't see anything going right. If it wasn't for thick headed individuals in charge and religious retards, the situation could improve with some (minor-Really!) changes (am I going crazy?):
-Put Ahmadinejad in front of the TV and make him politely apologize to the world for his speeches.
-Stop the Nuclear activity (Maybe temporarily) for a price of lifting the sanctions and technological transfer
-Stop the support of Hezbullah for a drive to bring investments and money into the country by the Western government-Divert the UAE trades to Iran (Bandar Abbas as it was planned originally in the 70's)
-Allow social freedoms for certain part of the town with signs indicating the place for those who care not to be in it
-Stop death penalty all together
-Ask Dariush (For example) to come to reconcile with the rest of the Iranians out of Iran. There are music in Iran wilder than Dariush, so the regime seems to have a shyness about the people who did good under the Shah.
***The following is not as important but helps:
--Those who speak to the world or come in front of the camera, have them clean up. Understand that you are representing a nation and good looks helps. [Just remember high school ;) ]
Everything else can be the same. Could you imagine the difference of Iran and our future if these were implemented?

There is no solution?
by Ali reza (not verified) on Thu Jul 10, 2008 03:36 PM PDTYou saw what happened to Iraq? Saddam showed all his hand and there was no WMD in Iraq. His nulear site was destroyed regardless, which was good for Iran, since he could have used it against Iran if it was completed. So if Israel get a green light she may attack, but there are many consequences that may be too much for her,USA, the region, and the whole world to swallow .Peace on Earth
Not enough
by Mensa (not verified) on Thu Jul 10, 2008 03:04 PM PDTDear Abarmard...
what you are offering is what Mr. Khatami...kind of sort of...offered...and fooled the people into buying into the so called temporary reform to buy time for the regime...I think we call it Jang-e-Zargari
You can dress it up any way you want...you can polish it anyway you want...you can even put makeup on it....something that is ugly is still ugly
You probably would have told Hitler Germany...Hey guys lets not hail each other so much...lets just segregate the Jews, lets not burn them, whomever does not like them can just avoid going to those neighborhoods....lets just pretend to (temporarily) suspend our plans to invade Russia...lets stop the death penalty, just imprison them for life....lets have Hitler make a public apology on TV....lets not wear does scare uniforms with the scary SS emblem on them.....would anything have changed...NO! NO! NO! Nazism is still Nazism....
Lets not buy into these desperate proposal by regime supporters who want to prolong the life of this despotic theocratic fascism...lets free Iran once and for all from this tyrany...I dont want to put make up on it...it is too ugly!!!!!!

by Kaveh Nouraee on Thu Jul 10, 2008 01:02 PM PDTIndeed, the solutions are simple. Very simple.
Implementing them is the difficult part.
Who the hell are we kidding? With these guys in the seat of power it's practically impossible!!
Great post.
