Color revolutions

The so-called color revolutions are CIA and Israel-supported uprisings in former eastern bloc states, as in the Rose Revolution in Georgia and Orange Revolution in Eukraine, which put pro US "democrats" in power to keep pipelinestan pro-US and anti-Russia.

They were also called "velvet" revolutions and the IRI has been worried about them for a long time. Which is not to say that the people's sentiments are not genuine and real.

thanks for filming the protests. i think it's important for the voice of dissent be heard from every corner of the world. with the prepetual communications shut-down in iran, the least we can do is to be an echo, however faint, of them for the outside world.

to those wondering why the slogans are in farsi: i think that the protesters are open to use english slogans. maybe it's just that farsi is shekar, and somehow farsi slogans sound more witty. there are some english slogans that are said such as "where is my vote?", "ahmadi, bye bye".  i think it would be useful if the commentators come up with more english slogans.

are these protests planned for all week or coordinated daily? It looks like a good size crowd, but my impression was that there'd be even more people joining after work hours.

Also Sbglobe has a good point, don't you think the impact would be stronger if the slogans were translated (as in Paris)?

P.S. And my guess is Yes they are listening but there's much bigger agenda in progress.

I thought one of the reasons for these protests outside Iran is to make these “foreign” countries aware and let them know how we feel. If that is the case, why then the slogans are in Farsi?   Thanks

What do you mean by "color revolution"?

Do we want an American "color revolution"?

My friends, this whole thing is looking more and more like one of those American "color revolutions". To hell with Ahmadinejad but we must be very careful not to play into the hands of some color revolution.

Dasteh shoma dard nakoneh.  Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this one.  I am not a Mousavi supporter.  I did not vote, because as long as we have Velayateh Faghi, voting is meanningless.  But, I will be there on Wednsday to support Iranian Youth. I hope others will join too.
