Bad timing?

Bad timing?

Isn't the Iranian national soccer team supposed to play against South Korea, first thing in the morning, US time? Do you think the Iranian collective attention goes toward the game at least for a few hours tomorrow?

I keep thinking: What if we lose? What happens to the 'green' movement? Sadness and anger may mix, and the result may not be pretty.

What if we win? Won't every Iranian, pro -Ahmadis as well as pro-Mousavis, fill the streets and celebrate the victory side by side?

Would that be a good thing?

I am confused. I just want us to win.

Us. The good guys.

 God bless IRAN.

"Five Iranian soccer

by Princess on

"Five Iranian soccer players, including captain Ali Karimi, wore green wristbands in an apparent sign of support for Mousavi at a World Cup Asian qualifying match in South Korea. State television showed the players wearing them for the entire first half, but the bands were gone by the time the second half started. During the demonstrations, Mousavi supporters have been wearing green — the signature color of his movement." AP
