Faramarz, I was reading your comment again ...
by Anahid Hojjati on Mon May 23, 2011 11:31 AM PDTand I got confused, you wrote:
how did you get to your poem from my poem? I mean how did you get your "bardasht"?
To MM, and also to Divaneh
by Anahid Hojjati on Sun May 22, 2011 05:35 PM PDTDear MM, although not inspired by "Criminal Minds", but I am a fan of the show. When I wrote this poem, "Criminal Minds was" not in my mind. However, I do watch some episodes of the show, even though some episodes are quite disturbing. Actullaly, they are all disturbing but some really test the limit of my tolerance for seeing crime on TV. I am not surprised that you were reminded of an episode of that show since they are all about killing and many involve killing women whom the criminals supposedly love. Thanks for reading my poem and commenting.
Dear Divaneh, speaking of disturbing, you commented that this poem was a little bit disturbing, and I agree. It was by design since it talks about a disturbing truth that happened and even if I am using metaphor but it did really happen and it was very disturbing.
Faramarz jan, nice poem and how true
by Anahid Hojjati on Sun May 22, 2011 05:36 PM PDTI have to say many were surprised when they saw picture of the lady who had Arnold's baby. I heard some guys comment that he should have cheated at least with someone more attractive. But I believe this happens quite often. I remember other instances that I read about powerful married men having affairs with some women and in several of them, wife was more beautiful than the woman that they had affair with. Thanks for reading and also writing a poem.

I think it was an episode of "Criminal Minds" TV program that centered around a man who killed young women and then seeked his love as if nothing had happened. I read your poem a couple of times and it sure reminded me of that episode.
A little scary, but beautiful rhyme on a unique love story, I think!
Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation Anahid
by divaneh on Sun May 22, 2011 04:38 PM PDTIt made it even more outstanding. A very strong metaphor and very true too.
Wow Divaneh jan, your interpretation is strong
by Anahid Hojjati on Sun May 22, 2011 04:18 PM PDTVery powerful where you write about a woman killing her own soul every time. In this poem, the old woman is a metaphor for eslahtalaban who have stayed with Rahbariat of IRI even when youth have been raped, bloodied and killed.
However, your interpretation about killing her own soul is a good one. In some ways I like it as much as my own intent for writing this poem. Thanks for showing me another way to look at this poem.
Nice poem
by divaneh on Sun May 22, 2011 03:53 PM PDTDear Anahid, this is a very nice poem but a little disturbing too. Is it in relation to some killers, or is it the same woman who kills her own soul every time?
Shirin jan, thanks for reading.
