Dear Divaneh

by Anahid Hojjati on

I certainly do have the desire to play a musical instrument. Who knows, maybe one of these days.

Beautiful poem

Although I think you can always play an instrument. Just need to have the desire.

I like the picture too.  It doesn't get as colorful in this part of the country as it does in some other parts.

Thanks for your comment.

Mr. Ghanbari

It looks like you know how to play music. This is great. For those of us who don't know how to play, listening is enjoyable.  However, I am sure it is a different experience to listen to music when you actually know how to play.

Thanks for reading my poem and commenting.

Ari, thanks for reading.

I might have more on youth but on aging, I can't think right now. With all emphasis on youth and the culture of "javanparasti", it is not very common these days for 40-50 year olds to write about aging. Nowadays, people wait until they are in their 60s to admit that they are not young any more :).

Lovely poem, Anahid

Do you have more in this theme? Youth and aging.

This is about

by Anahid Hojjati on

the fact that how learning music (daf va santoor va tar) is much easier when we are younger. As we get older (be jorme hambastegi ba saat), it is much harder to learn to play these instruments. So I leave them to the young and I am just glad with play of the pen; writing poetry.  "Deedar yek derakht dar bastare barg" refers to process of writing poems which has similarities to leaves falling from trees.
