In this clip a young Martyn Lewis, now a veteran journalist and newscaster, reports on the horrific executions that took place in the aftermath of the Islamic revolution of 1979. In some cases the famous phrase "revolution devours its own children" - subject of the Goya's painting featured above,  found a fresh meaning.

Just to broaden our Beloved Hafez's message, and rising above things that separate us, please enjoy this poem by our Beloved Rumi

For the beautiful words from our Beloved Hafez

My only suggestion to you is try and get along with people. Much of the cantankerousness that we see below could be easily avoided if we all adopt a more friendly and brotherly approach

For the benefit of all friends, this is the entirety of Ghazal by Hafez that our friend anglophile quoted below

How do you expect to get any respect

by مسعود از امریکا on

with a username like anglophile.

If you study the history of the World, especially the Third World, including Iran, it is fraught with references to how the British exploited and took advantage of various people and their resources through their tactics such as Divide and Rule, etc.

I live in America. Every fourth of July wer are reminded on how the founding fathers (George Washington, etc.) fought with deliberate attempt and valor to get rid of the British, and their espotic rule, over 200 years ago

I know that the relationship is different between Britain and US now. And that's perhaps primarily due to the fact that Britatin is not the power that it used to be, and it's aligning itself with US in order to have more and more influence throughout the World.

I have read many of the comments below. I have seen that you have been referred to by some unkindly referrences such as a Lackey of Britain, etc. which I believe is perhaps not called for. It's quite clear however, that there is some degree of animus between you and some of the other commentators below.

Nevertheless, I did read some of your comments in your own thread referenced below, and I think that it's fair to say that your comments by and large are quite sympathetic to Britain and British causes.

On a site such as Iranian.com, expectations are that Iranian people, which I believe you are one, should consider their own country first, and at the top of their list.

I believe that the username that you have adopted (anglophile), together with your sympathetic comments that you write about Britain, and British causes, make you a Perfect Target. Therefore, please don't be surprised by how people are responding to you in the manner that they are. Masoud

Rashidian Brothers' Loyalty To Britain

Far surpassed their devotion and allegiance to their country of birth Iran. Anyone and everyone who knew them, either directly or indirectly, was fully aware of that!

Upon reading many of your comments that you have written on this website, anglophile, just by simply following Your Track, one gets the impression that your loyalties and devotions are first and foremost to Britain, and to Iran a distant second!

Again, this is based solely on reading your own comments. No speculation involved!

My Dear 'anglophile'

by R2-D2 on

I have absolutely nothing to prove to you - My credentials stand for themselves, and my being first in my class was an exceptional thing for anybody, especially for an Iranian :)

Having said that, you keep avoiding the obvious: As I have said that repeatedly throughout this thread, and also other blogs on this website, and it being confirmed now by our friend Humility in his comment below, your Motivations are quite clearly questionable and at odds vis-a-vis all Patriotic Iranians Who Truly Love Their Country -

As it's quite self evident, first by all your own comments on your "Track" , as indicated by our friend Humility's comment below, plus your shameful praise of the Rashidian Brothers, which you have done below in your comment,  your allegiance, devotions, and indeed loyalties are first and foremost to Britain, and the British Government, rather than to our Beloved Iran ;)

As indicated by Humility, This Is Strictly Based Upon Your Writings And Comments Here On This Website :) !  - An Nothing Else ..... !

Tks Again For Your Own Self-Exposure Mate,

I'm truly delighted that more and more people are becoming more and more aware of your true motives and nature, as our friend Humility stated in his comment below -

The great thing about this website is that as we write comments, they appear in the Recent Comments section of the website, and even people who are not following the thread, get a chance to read them -

A couple of days ago, there were only about 200 who had read your blog - Today, it stands at close to 800 -

As Humility indicated in his comment below, your own writings are exposing you - Indeed Your Sins Are Finding You Out ;)

Cheers Mate,

Thank you very much for your last comment - I do agree with you completely on your point -

After reading your last comment yesterday, out of respect to you, I decided not to say anything further - And I didn't -

However, you see this character anglophile's comment below mine - If he wants to contune leaving nasty remarks, as he has done below, I have no choice but to respond to them in kind -

As I have indicated before, and will continue to do so in the future, this character anglophile, on a continuous basis, throughout this website, demonstrates himself more and more as an Unapologetic and Shameless British Lackey -

His allegiance to his Masters in England makes me want to vomit - As indicated earlier by Humility, he may indeed be a British Agent -

I hope you understand what I'm saying - In many ways, you're much more mature than this character -

Tks Again,

I posted this blog in deference to the many early victims of the Islamic regime who are being forgotten and this electro-mechanised midget has found an opportunity to boast about his so called academic achievments!!! In a sense you are right dear Kiddo. Iranians are (mis)opportunists. They jump on any occasion to promote themselves but often, as is the case here, at the wrong time and the wrong place!

My dear British Lackey, didn't accept one penny from the Pahlavi Foundation - My family, through their personal sacrifices, supported my education :)

I did take the Oxbridge Exam - That's why I was admitted to Cambridge - Regarding Oxford, I didn't even bother applying there - Everyone knew the program at Oxford was far inferior to both Cambridge and Imperial College :)

Lastly, As I Indicated To You Earlier, And You Keep Conveniently Forgetting, I Was At The Top Of My Class Before Leaving For US -

Please Keep Your Brilliant Comments Coming - It's Quite Obvious That You're Digging Yourself A Deeper And Deeper Hole :)

anglophile

Oh I see so you were funded by the Pahlavi foundation too :)

by anglophile on

bit by bit the truth is leaking out little robot. Yes (sigh) 1970's ...  those were the easy and comfy days of gettiing into any university. Sadly when it came to my generation they needed 4 "A" levels and "S" levels if you wanted to go to Oxbridge (which you clearly failed to go - judging by the quality of your writings). Yes, keep leaking my funny little robot - by the way - did you ever pay back all that money  that was wasted on your education to the Alavi foundation or did you do a major "maast maali" LOL?

"Mine is Better Than Yours"

That's a game Iranians just love.

They just love to sit around and show off about their shit.

Even a stupid visit to the store, and they come flying back all happy and proud of themselves, announcing dramatically:

"Guess how much I bought this for?"

Jeez, what a bunch of show-offs.

R2-D2

For your information, I had striaght A's in my three (3) A' Levels - That's why I was accepted to the Top Engineering School in UK :)

Regarding Scholarship, if you knew anything about the British Universties, when I attended them back in the 1970's, which I have repeatedly told you in the past posts, they were free - No Scholarships were needed - Plus they would give you a grant of 1,000 pounds  per year as spending money - This amount was given to everyone :)

I was accepted both to Cambridge, and Imperial College - You want to still show how ignorant you are by making comments like the one you made below ? :) !

As I have said before, and keep saying it till Kingdom cometh, in comment after comment, from the beginning of this thread to now, you are showing more and more how ignorant a person you are - About very basic things :)

My dear British Lackey, please contunie embarassing yourself more and more - I'm sure your Masters in England are wondering what a money they are wasting for hiring such an incompetent person as you to do their bidding :)

Looking forward to your next brilliant comment - This daily engagement with you in exposing more and more of your ignorance, has become  a delight ..... !

by anglophile on

Well, despite your calim to humility I must say you are quite haughty  if you were so close to the Rashidian brothers to know them so intimately. Or more likely you are one of the Wiki-scientists in our midst?  For your infromation my friend, I have not had the pleasure of meeting the Rashidians in person but had I been so lucky to meet them I would have thanked them boundlessly for their part in getting rid of the menace of Mosaddeq for good and postponing the Islamic revolution by 25 years. Happy now? Good - LoLLLL

anglophile

But seriously R2 ...

by anglophile on

why couldn't you get a scholarship to a British university for your first degree?  Was it because your A levels were not up to the mark? Well there was always London Poly :)) You see my dear midget robot, you confirm the well established theory that every loser in Briatin gets a scholarship to the US uni - even when he comes from a top engineering school like the good old Kingston Poly - LOL. Listen my friedn you couldn't even decode a simple binary pattern until I showed you the trick - what kind of engineering did you studey? liquid engineering? :)))  - all those rounds you had to buy for your pals down in the local pub :))   Boy this is more fun than Kiddo's jokes. Keep'em coming pal!

Humility

Rashidian Brothers

by Humility on

I wonder if this gentleman Anglophile is in any way related to the Rashidian Brothers. His love and admiration of things British reminds me of them.

The Rashidian Brothers, Seyfollah, Assadollah, and Qodratollah were all British agents during the 1953 Coup against Dr. Mossadeq.

In particular, Assadolah Rashidian was a principal covert agent of the British Secret Intelligence Service (SIS) who played a critical role in the overthrow of Dr. Mossadeq.

If you click on the link above (his name in blue), you can read more about him there.

Sorry to say this, but based on your comments here, and elsewhere on this website, not only you continuously keep acting as a total and complete loser, but unfortunately, demonstrate more and more to everyone that you are nothing but an absolutely unapologetic, and shameless British Lackey - Indebted both in full, and in part, to your Masters in England :) !

For your information, I went to the top engineering school in UK - Was at the top of my class - But realized quite early, that the British educational system in general, and their engineering training in particualr, was far below what top engineering schools in US could potentially offer - So I came to US on a Full Scholarship :) !

Again, please continue making your Moronic remarks, and useless comments, as you have done below - As I have said in an earlier comment in our friend DK's blog, you make my job quite easy - Indeed, Effortless :) !
