British comic wonder of Iranian descent, Omid Djalili, has succeeded the likes of Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) and Sir Ben Kingsley in the celebrated role of Fagin in the musical, Oliver! currently running in London's West End. With his BBC's Omid Djalili Show now schedulled for its third season, Omid's acting career has gone from strength to strenght. Read the reviews:

He was very helpful also to get an Event in Budapest where he was to be awarded with the Iranian.com and other artists and medias.
Really nice human being by all accounts.
Thanks for sharing.

yep, covered in the news section too
by fozolie on Wed Jul 22, 2009 03:08 PM PDTI cannot understand the fuss made about this and I thought it was a pretty clever peace of manipulation by O.D. to get some publicity for the show. I could not stand the Telegraph article as it just shows even today how they cannot think beyond the stereotypes.
