Seyyed Hassan Taqizadeh was arguably the most controvertial politician of his time. Vilified by some historians and venerated by others, his formative role in some of the most crutial times of the Iranian history of 20th century is indisputable. Here, Oxford historian, Homa Katouzian, explains why:
