If anyone in the U.S. government is reading this, I have a few words of advice for you. Look guys, the Islamic Republic cannot be reasoned or negotiated with. Its core is made up of a clusterfuck of revolutionaries, terrorists, messianic religious zealots and mafia type, conniving fucks. These people will never “negotiate” anything with you. You will have as much of a chance in getting a “grand bargain” with these lunatics as you will in reaching a comprehensive an agreement on abortion with Pat Robertson. So, enough with the pussyfooting and being fooled by its lobby and paid agents on Iranian.com. The only language that the IR understands is that of violence and retribution. Because that is how it operates. You have to talk to it in its own language. So, here’s what you need to do folks:
Not only de-list the MEK, but arm and fund it. Hell, give them F-16s and M-1 Abrams tanks. Sure, they’re a bunch of lunatic terrorist Islamo-communists themselves who are hated by the majority of Iranians. But we’re in the revenge and tit-for-tat game, right? If yes, this is the ONLY way to respond. The IR has been funding, arming and training terrorists against the U.S., right? You should return the favor by doing the same to the IR. Remember the Marine barracks in Beirut? You know who planned and executed that, right? Remember the whole hostage thing? That actually brings me to my next point. Send a few FBI guys and clean out the whole IR spy nest in Washington, DC that they call their “interest section.” Take all those clowns hostage and demand that Hassan Nasrollah be sent to the U.S. to stand trial for his involvement in the terrorist attacks against the U.S. And while you’re holding them hostage, get some good use out of them. Strip those fat bastards naked and have them do cage fights with one another, and then broadcast it on pay per view, with the proceeds going to some kind of a charity, like an animal rescue shelter.
That’s how you deal with these IR goons. Give me a break with “extending [your] hand” and the “clinched fist.” Who do you think you’re dealing with? Human beings?!! Trust me, you try my method and in no time they will soften up and start bending over like you have never seen it before.

You, and many IC visitors despise (is that an accurate word?) Islam itself, as much as the IRI; but, to this innocent observer from afar""
you can not change Iran without the Islamic faithful's support > The IRI promised righteous governance, but delivered a "Bad Check "".The coup de grace that breaks the IRI's back will come from (PresGW Bush liberated) Najaf.

Dear AO
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Aug 21, 2011 09:24 AM PDTI apologize for not keeping track of Ramadan which got me in trouble with Muslims. I may have said one time I got yelled at by an Egyptian coworker for eating on Ramadan. To add insult to injury a Jewish friend gave me more *** for not honoring my "religion". I had to explain to her that I am not a Muslim. Talk about making assumptions!
My advise to you is this as Bluto said: My advice to you is to start drinking heavily ... It will keep your resistance up and your posts consistently influential. If not at least under influence -)
VPK - Influence?
by Anonymous Observer on Sun Aug 21, 2011 08:26 AM PDTWhat influence? The only influence that I have is over my dog...and that's barely. She sits, gives a paw, and sometimes goes running with me. Can't keep up thugh, which is very annoying. I have to stop the run and bring her back home. So, I am not too worried about losing any influence.
And as far as being OK, I think I am. I haven't drank or used drugs for the past few days...no, wait, I had a drink last night. I do try to increase my alcohol consumption during Ramadan, as a big F-you to the non-existent "big guy" up there.
On a more serious note, you should read my comment below about not misconstruing this blog.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sun Aug 21, 2011 06:05 AM PDTIt was more than foolish and does not take retrospect! It was plain out suicidal. I would hope they are released after a reasonable fine of say 200$ for illegally crossing a border. Put on a plane and sent to say England.
But remember driving drunk into a lamppost may result in death. Also hacking NASA or US government computers may land you in a hole never to be seen. So while I do not in any way defend IRI I do think they really pushed their luck.
This was not the same as US embassy. They were in Iran on legitimate papers on on American territory. Note: embassy is considered territory of that nation. So there is a big difference. Besides Americans as I said are too busy with paying their bills. Not to mention the virtual civil war between the right and left wing. More Tea Party members want to bring Obama down than IRI. This is unfortunate as a divided nation will not be effective in fighting its opponents.

by Simorgh5555 on Sun Aug 21, 2011 01:04 AM PDTI agree that it seems foolish in retrospect to go hiking in Iraq/Iranian border but that hardly explains or justifies the cruel treatment these two young people received at the hands of the IR terror regime. Perhaps they had no reason to be there but do you really accept that they were spys? They may not be wandering Grand Canyon or Yellow Stone but they are not selling drugs or have killed anyone.
They are no more reckless than coming out of a driving drunk into a lamppost, smoking dope or hackiing into NASA. They were just walking for goodness sakes.
I hope Americans are not really as indifferent as you say they are.

by Anonymous Observer on Sat Aug 20, 2011 08:14 PM PDTof course no one expects the U.S. to give F-16s to the MEK. It was an obvious exaggeration for effect. But not the one about the IR staff being stripped naked and thrown into a cage fight. I was serious about that one. :-))

It is utterly laughable to think that a single Soviet era carrier is going to scare the U.S. which owns twelve of these things (much more technologically advanced). Oh, and let's not forget the 14 Los Angeles class submarines, each of which carry enough nuclear warheads to the turn the planet into a bowl of dust.
Rest assured that they will be quite disappointed with their new knight in shining armor, as they were with the old one, the beloved USSR. They will take the dream of the destruction of the U.S. to their graves....so sad...

by Anonymous Observer on Sat Aug 20, 2011 08:10 PM PDTFrom a foreign power, e.g. US perspective, they need to understand that islamist regime leadership only starts talking and listening to you if the barrel of a gun is pointed at their f00king empty heads. Well said!!! I tune out as soon as I hear them talk about "peace." I know what's happening there, when they bend over backwards to give the IR, the most anti-peace entity on the planet the benefit of the doubt, but at the same time jump on a dog peeing on a street in the U.S. or Europe and make a federal case out of it.
Some of them are amateur poets also.:-)
Do not misconstrue this blog
by Anonymous Observer on Sun Aug 21, 2011 08:32 AM PDTfirst, my comment is not addressed to my lovely friend Vildemose, whose comments and views I always cherish and appreciate. It is also not addressed to the rest of the people who have let messages, as they are all seem to be reasonable views...some wrong, but still valid opinions.
To everyone else who is reading this blog, please do not be a hysterical (or a historical for that matter) buffoon, and do not let your manufactured, knee jerk outrage and your willingness to go the extra mile to give the IR the benefit of the doubt get in the way of an objective analysis of the situation (see the blog above mine).
This blog is not about helping the MEK bomb Iran. It's an objective comparison of how the U.S, should respond to the IR's three decades long beilligrence, and its open and unabashed call for the past 32 years for the destruction of the U.S. So, put your cultural narcissim and latent racism aside--that's right, you're all a bunch of racist hypocrites--- for a moment. The U.S., or any other country on this planet for that matter, is not here to serve you or any other Iranian. Nor is it here to look out for your interests and make sure that your country doesn't fall into a million pieces. The fault lies with you and your decrepit government, which you are so hesitant to criticize, and are so willing to tolerate. Direct your anger not at me, or anyone else who speaks the plain truth, but rather at the government that you have been tacitly supporting for the past 32 years by your silence, your inept simple mindedness and your frequent chelo kabob eating orgies in Iran, after which you return to your comfortable Western homes and tell everyone not to worry and that everything "inshallah dorost misheh."
AO jan: Are you sure
by vildemose on Sat Aug 20, 2011 07:20 PM PDTAO jan: Are you sure you're feeling well?? I don't think anyone hates IRI more than I do but I do not wish MEK or the incompetent US military to reduce Iran into smitherenes and to what end?? Replace Khamnei with Rajavi?? Look at what happenend to Iraq! Maleki is an Iranian stooge after all the blood and treasure spend on Bush's war of choice. Are Iraqis better off now than they were under Saadam?? I think NOT.

What you need is conviction and determination.
by nasrin noor on Sat Aug 20, 2011 05:30 PM PDTMy Polish grandfather displayed conviction and determination when he and his military unit defeated the Palestinians in 1948. Numbers are necessary but not sufficient! What you need is strong-willed people to ram into he enemy and destroy it. That's what any Iranian freedom fighter needs, conviction and determination. The rest is a secondary issue.

by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Aug 20, 2011 05:34 PM PDTDear Oon Yaroo:
I take it you are not volunteering to do that! Are you?
Here is a quote from one of my favorite shows "Blake's 7" that is my response:
"No, I am not. I am not expendable; I am not stupid and I am not going"
Folks
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Aug 20, 2011 05:17 PM PDTMEK is not going to take out IRI no matter what. I said it many times: the only power able to forcibly take out IRI other than Iranian people is USA. I have told this to my Senators and Representative.
It will take a lot of money and a lot of troops.. Maybe they will not be necessary and people will rise. But they better have 1 trillion dollars and about 400 thousand troops. Or they risk a massive failure.
Putting aside any personal preferences I will say this as a totally dispassionate man. The force to invade needs to have a five to one advantage. Now given the advanced technology of USA maybe a 2 to 1 is sufficient. But anything less and you are begging for trouble. As Bush found out and had to do his "surge". Besides the initial attack there will be a long drawn out guerrilla warfare. The Powell doctrine was to use massive force. 3000 half hearted 50 year olds and some air strikes won't do it.
VPK: You're right MEK folks can't fly F-16s but they sure can
by Oon Yaroo on Sat Aug 20, 2011 04:59 PM PDTcontrol UAVs and other remote-controlled assets. Besides, I would first start with a massive and sustained sorties campaign lasting at least two weeks with the intent to take out every IRR asset. Then I would send the MEK folks to do the dirty job of cleaning up the place. I take it you are not volunteering to do that! Are you?
"Islamic Republic cannot be reasoned or negotiated with"
by Roozbeh_Gilani on Sat Aug 20, 2011 04:58 PM PDTAgree 100%.
It can not be reformed either.
I am and have always been and shall remain, for us the Iranian people ourselves to topple the islamist regime through acts of civil disobedience, mass strikes and if necessary armed urising. If we can align US foreign policy with our own national intersts, so much better.
From a foreign power, e.g. US perspective, they need to understand that islamist regime leadership only starts talking and listening to you if the barrel of a gun is pointed at their f00king empty heads. by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Aug 20, 2011 04:47 PM PDTAnd who is going to fly these F-16 and drive these tanks? A bunch of aging MEK 50 year olds in Ashraf? Do you know how much training it requires to fly an F-16. It is Which air base do they take off from and who fuels them?
You are living in fantasy. If US wants to invade Iran then it better do it directly. Giving MEK F-16 is like giving a 6 year old keys to your car. You are lucky if they don't manage to start it. If they do God help you because they will likely run into your front door.
There is a difference between being "tough" and being reckless. You Reagan knew that .and it is why he picked Granada for his first war. A simple; weak and slam dunk. Because he wanted a guaranteed cheap victory. Bush picked a tough war and undermanned it. Obama is not stupid. He knows what it takes to get the job done. Right now the Republicans would love to see him attack Iran and fail. Then make a stink about "incompetence" so they could get Palin or Bachmann in. Obama knows better.
Dear Simorgh
by Veiled Prophet of Khorasan on Sat Aug 20, 2011 04:34 PM PDTWith respect Obama is not spineless. He just does not want to repeat the mistakes of Bush. He is in 3 wars right now. A wise man will finish one job before getting into the next. In my opinion Syria is the next to go then IRI.
Jimmy Carter was the truly spineless one. You don't make a spectacle out of the hostages. You go out and say "they are service men and women and knew the risk". Then make no deals and do not give in. Besides the hostage thing was totally different. The embassy was American territory and its staff there on official USA business. These guys were just out wondering the land with no good reason. They were either on Iraqi or Iranian and not American territory.
Anyway I do not understand why any person with a brain goes "hiking in Iraq". If you want to go hiking why not the Grand Canyon; or Yellow Stone? It is like sailing the pacific in a leaky boat then getting upset when you sink! They are at least guilty of being reckless. And citizens do not care because of that. They say well if you go to Iraq and wonder the border what do you expect? Besides most citizens are busy making ends meet to really care about this one way or another.

by Simorgh5555 on Sat Aug 20, 2011 03:51 PM PDTThe Americans seem pretty nonchalant about the American hitchhikers given an 8 year jail sentence on bogus espionage charges. Compare the reaction and mood of the public during the 1979 American embassy hostage taking and now.
Obama's administration appears to be utterly spineless compared to the tough stance taken by Regan. Even the public reaction 33 years ago was different with Americans brandishing bumber stickers saying "Nuke Iran until it grows".
These poor people have been used as political pawns by the IR and yet their own citizens don't seem to give a damn in comparison to the sympathy Amanda Knox, the convicted murderer of British student Meredith Kercher in Italy is getting.
