Bavafa & Maryam!
by HHH on Mon Aug 15, 2011 11:02 PM PDTWith all due respect Israel is as much democracy as Nazi Germany was!
They put one Arab in their House of Representatives and claim this is a democracy. Democracy means the government of people by the people for the people. People here are 7.5 million Arabs 5 million of whom have no vote and the 2 million who are considered Israeli-citizens have no right to elect any Arabs as the president. What kind of democracy is this? This is IRI-style democracy where the minority filters the candidates, picks it's own, then tells the people "Vote for one of my selections!!!" This is a joke.
And I didn't even mention the fact that Israel is not even a government but it's a business deal between Rotschild family and the British occupiers of early 1900s. The British sold that land to this family and these zionist cult-members started their nation-building and manipulation of UK and then USA.
Dear Reality-Bites, I should offer an apology to you and Maryam
by Bavafa on Sun Aug 14, 2011 08:11 AM PDTIf my comment was misleading, which was not intended so. I guess my sarcastic humor was not overly obvious. You are correct indeed, a wrong policy, action or treatment of any nation's citizen is not and should not be excused if that country is a democracy.
But I also agree with Maryam that democracies have far greater chance in fixing such problems then dictatorial system (obviously)
So, in that I am glad Israel is a democratic nation and I hope it remains as such, since it is slowly creeping towards a theocracy system.

by Reality-Bites on Sun Aug 14, 2011 03:35 AM PDTWho said because Israel is a democracy whatever Israel does is ok?
Regardless of that, the issue that I can't fathom is why so many people here are so fixated with Israel? Countries like China, Russia, Countless Arab countries, Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, countless Africa countries, to name but a few have far worse violation of human rights record than Israel. Why doesn't anyone here ever talk about any of those countries?
Bavafa, I agree with you
by Maryam Hojjat on Sun Aug 14, 2011 03:23 AM PDTWell said. The democracy indeed resolves all these problems since people are free to voice themselves.
Aren't you forgetting some thing….
by Bavafa on Sat Aug 13, 2011 10:21 PM PDTYes, you are correct there is injustice, discrimination, theft, murder and occupation by State of Israel but don't forget, Israel is a democracy and therefore what ever it does is OK.
