As we’re getting closer to the Iranian New Year I thought to provide some candidates for the Sexiest Iranian Woman Alive and everyone can add their candidate. You can nominate as many candidates as you like but cast your final vote for 1. Please provide a link to your candidates' photo. Just one link and photo per candidate.
The polls will be open until Close of i.com Business Sunday March 14th and the winner announced Monday morning USA Eastern time.
Since I’m going to be updating the blog with candidates and count their votes this blog will drop off the featured list. So come back to the blog section to see the results.
The only restrictions are being Iranian and alive! She can be ½ Iranian or ¼ Iranian it really doesn’t matter as long as she has not disavowed her Iranianness!
Now I nominate some candidates for now in no particular order, I’ll add more later but wanted to post this so you can nominate your candidates. Any i.com registered user regardless of race, ethnicity, age or sexual orientation can vote. Nominating and Voting is open to all!
Numbers in parenthesis represent the votes

Anahid jaan your link worked! Hila has 3 votes so far!
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:33 PM PSTEverything is sacred.
Yolanda jaan that link is blocked too.
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:31 PM PSTI'm not trying to be difficult, I just want others to be able to see the pics and don't get blocked by their firewalls. I tried searhing but nothing came up.
I know who she is she was introduced a little while ago
//iranian.com/main/2010/mar/hila-sedighi
Is this her? If there can be a video "photo" of her posted somewhere it'd be great,
Everything is sacred.

Capt vote properly! The lady in the blog photo doesn't count!
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:25 PM PSTShe is very sexy and beautiful though! But please pick a viable candidate!
Niki jaan Funny in Farsi is going to be the best thing ever! I just hope there won't be a smallest sound coming out of anyone in my household when we watch the show! Smiles and laughs will be tolerated but No Talking rule will strictly be enforced! It will be awesome!
Everything is sacred.

Indeed
by capt_ayhab on Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:20 PM PSTIndeed they are all most beautiful.
My vote goes to the lady in the blog photo[The one who is wearing a brown dress, not the morality thug]
-YT
Easy decision
by Niki Tehranchi on Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:12 PM PSTSarah Shahi who is not only beautiful but a very talented actress and I believe she is the first person to play a recurring, lead role as an Iranian character (as opposed to arabic, or hispanic, or ...) and on top of that it was a positive role and not the typical terrorist or victim of domestic violence characters. The series was Life and it was on a major network. Now she is cast in Firouzeh Dumas' sitcom Funny in Farsi, which I sincerely hope will be picked up for next season.
Hila has 3 votes but no link/photo so no vote 4 her yet!
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:50 AM PSTEverything is sacred.
Arthimis,
by Proud_To_Be_Anonymous on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:39 AM PSTHila Seghighi seems untouched and natural (see link in Bavafa's comment). I vote for her as well.
To Vishtaspa, you are not doing anything for archeology on this..
by mitra northcal on Wed Mar 10, 2010 12:43 PM PSTMr. Vishtaspa, by spending so much time on this thread, you are not doing anything for your cause.
Vespa you're just a lost cause and making an ass of yourself.
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:34 AM PSTEverything is sacred.
Anahid
by Vishtaspa on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:30 AM PSTI've been lobbying for attention to the destruction of Iran's archaelogical heritage for years, and with regards to sites you most likely never even knew existed.
So save the condescension; I can play that game, too.
This is not about any "green" pseudo-democratic political movement, either, so spare me your uber-chic cynicism.
Unfortunately, I don’t
by varjavand on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:26 AM PSTUnfortunately, I don’t know many Iranian men who could be named the sexiest man alive. Compared to myself, if Gilbert Gottfried was Iranian, he had certainly my vote!
Who is Hila?! Links with photos bubbas!
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:25 AM PSTGuys please provide a link to your candidate's photo. Youtube clips are not acceptable. Many people are behind firewalls and can't see youtube and later when I add the names to the blog I won't include clips, just photos!
As for nose jobs well it is epidemic. Some of us who are older have had the chance and choice to pick the ones with regular noses! The younger generation after revolution have no choice! They are beautiful none-the-less.
So Bavafa and Arthimis you still have not voted. Also, of course we'd all vote for our wives and girlfriends but next to them we can vote for someone as second!
Anahid jaan thanks!
Everything is sacred.
Cookie-cutter discussions
by Vishtaspa on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:25 AM PSTI suppose that's a jab at me, and I reserve the right to respond:
What's actually ironic is the fact that your discussion of "Wow who is the hottest chick here/would you tap it?" is probably the most common discussion known to man throughout all of time, probably even predating modern humans themselves.
Yet, I post an article from MONDAY about how the IRI is ignoring, deliberately, the decay of Persepolis and that's a"cookie-cutter" discussion? I suppose the fact that MANY young people were imprisoned, raped, tortured and killed would make a discussion of yet another report of the above a "cookie cutter" discussion and an excuse for a blasé attitude to you.
I understand if you're tired of political discussions, which is why I finally butted out of this thread, but mocking important issues like this only makes you look like a self-absorbed fool, especially given the irony of your discussion having formed the basis for every issue of every men's magazine ever printed.
Go on and have your talk about boobs, but mocking those of us who are trying to spread the word about crimes against humanity (once again, by laughably referring to them as "cookie-cutter discussions") is not the way to endear yourself to anyone who you know, cares about more than just sex, whether they've voted in your poll or not. Our culture is being actively destroyed; and I respect your right to continue with your thread but don't mock the work that these Iranologists are doing to spread awareness about these crimes before there is nothing left of Persepolis.
Respect,
-V
Bavafa, I agree with you.
by Arthimis on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:17 AM PSTAgree with your choice! After my girlfriend (like you), Hila looks like a Natural beauty...
With all due respect...
by Arthimis on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:12 AM PSTAll these Iranian and half Iranian women are beautiful in their own way, but as an Iranian man, I would love to see ONE candidate (Iranian woman) who has not been cosmetically operated on and is completely NATURAL!!!
I don't care if her nose or any part of her body is slightly out of shape or whatever... In fact, I personally find that very sexy...
Someone like my own beloved girlfriend :-) someone like Penelope Cruz, Juliette Binoche, Cathrine Denevue, Brigitte Bardot (although now very old and unfortunately broken) ... These kind of women radiate absolute kind of beauty to me with all their NATURAL GOD GIVEN beauties... Of course, not all women/men are lucky to be born that way physically, but to operate on yourself when you have a little or few physical imperfections, afterward makes you look really abnormal and worse than before... I see that everyday with cosmetic surgeries that are so popular amongst us Iranians and Americans especially... In severe cases of operations, they all start looking like identical , uniformed fake puppets... And that looks and is very sad to me personally at least! But of course if that makes a woman/man feeling better about herself/ himself, then so be it and RESPECT to their feelings...
BTW, Varjavand! I am the sexiest man here, but can't show my real face to I.R. assassins on line... LOL! :-)
My vote goes for my wife
by Bavafa on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:09 AM PSTsecond to my wife would be

Mehrdad
My vote is also for Golshifteh Farahani
by Anahid Hojjati on Wed Mar 10, 2010 11:11 AM PSTDear Anonymouse, my vote is for Golshifteh.
Also all those who are criticizing Anonymouse must not be regular readers of IC. If they were, they knew that Anonymouse has written many political blogs and they were quite good too. Maybe this is because some people have become "revolutionary" and six months ago, they just "sabz shodan" . However, there are some of us who have been like that for decades.
What's ironic is the desire for cookie cutter discussions
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:54 AM PSTUnverified I chose this photo for my blog because it shows life under the Islamic Republic for Iranian women. Iranian is the key word here. Unlike most other Islamic country Iranian women still push ahead and are able to look beautiful next to someone who doesn't want them to look nice.
You think the only women Iranian women listen to are famous Iranian women who fight for their rights? Many young Iranian women don't even know who is Shadi Sadr or some even Shirin Ebadi. They learn their rights and injustice and how to fight it by watching or reading many things and then one day they get a chance to defend themselves.
So don't be judgemental and this has not been the worst International Women's week in i.com. It is like any other year. Full of support and understanding. The blog just 2 blogs below mine is very beautiful and meaningful. I just haven't had a chance to finish it.
//iranian.com/main/blog/bubbly/womens-day-both-pride-and-disappointment
This is just one blog next to many more blogs in defense of freedom and human rights in Iran. Now cast your vote! Who has your vote?
I don't understand why people come here and give a speech without even bothering to vote!
Everything is sacred.
They are just candidates, not all candidates get a vote.
by Anonymouse on Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:41 AM PSTProud, So who would you vote for? So far we have one vote each for Hadieh Tehrani, Golshifteh Farahani, Maryam Roshani and Sarah Shadi. It's a tie!
Everything is sacred.
Anonymouse
by Formerly Unverified on Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:40 AM PSTYou don't need to try to defend your choice of blog subject. It is your prerogative to write about anything you want. We can read it or not. You are just one window into the way some Iranians are thinking and acting during these times and as such you should have your say.
Having said that, I think this week has seen the ugliest International Women's Day recognition EVER on Iranian.com. It was a Some Men Behaving Badly and Some Women Behaving Even Worse week.
Go on, party along. There are more chances for celebrating sex in the remaining days of this week, and if you missed it, the whole year ahead. Whatever rocks your well, rocks. Certainly you aren't alone.
P.S. I find it ironic that your choice of photo for your blog shows a young Iranian woman who is seen as a sex object by the Fati Commando who is harassing her. Perhaps you should stick to celebrity Iranian women or Iranian women in the west who don't have to put up with the abuse the poor young woman in the photo is trying to dodge. Just a suggestion.
Shohreh Aghdashloo?
by Proud_To_Be_Anonymous on Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:38 AM PST... give me a break!

by yolanda on Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:36 AM PSTI will vote for Farahahi......she is absolutely stunning and feminine!
So buzz back to the same hole you crawled out of.

I can't go back to where I came from
by Vishtaspa on Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:25 AM PSTbecause the IRI is raping it to death.
So you got YOUR answer. Now buzz 'back' to where u came from!

by Vishtaspa on Wed Mar 10, 2010 10:22 AM PSTIt's official: the destruction on Persepolis is not important and is crap in your eyes, but arguing about who the sexiest woman is, is.
Gotcha. And people wonder why Iran is turning into hell. Most of us don't even WANT to do anything about it.
Yeah! Post all your "important" crap here!
