by Ari Siletz

The US dollar, as the world's reserve currency, has not yet been removed. The world bankers are *at work* to remove it. That makes the above situation a PROCESS, which started a couple of decades ago and still continues; it is not finished yet.

As the global currency /global dictatorship, where countries and people of the world use one single currency has not yet been ESTABLISHED, we can not state that this dictatorship "has been around for 2 decades now." However, we can state that it is "on its way" to be established.

Reading about the concept of PROCESS is beneficial.

Is global dictatorship on its way?

by Azadeh Azad on

Geikhatou lived in the Golden Age of currency in comparison to now!  :-)  At least this is what John Truman Wolfe, an ex-banker, would say.

He has published a book called, “Crisis by Design.” He argues that the current world economic crisis is an international coup designed to take down the US dollar and install a global financial machine.

He names the Global Monetary Authority (GMA) as a Financial Dictator of the Planet and the Bank for International Settlements in Switzerland //www.bis.org/, as the central bank for such entities as the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, and Bank of Japan. He says that all 55 central banks on the planet are members of and junior to the Bank of International Settlements, which he describes as being above the law. ......................

Wolfe says that the idea of the amero replacing the dollar is a "red herring;" that the global currency that is being rolled out as we speak is the SDR, an international reserve asset, created by the IMF in 1969, a “fiat currency” of the International Monetary Fund; that the fiscal economy of the United States has been dished off to a bunch of bankers in Basel, Switzerland; that their plan is to reduce the size of the US economy and remove the dollar as the world's reserve currency.

[SDR= Special Drawing Rights, a sort of "quasi currency"  created by the IMF in 1969, which allow nations to increase their foreign exchange reserves without money being borrowed or lent.]

He says that the current crisis in some EU countries such as Greece was planned so that the bankers can come to the rescue and push for more international control mechanisms. To counteract the international bankers, Wolfe suggests taking back the printing of money from the Federal Reserve (whom he calls "fiscal vampires") and backing US currency with actual products and real estate. He also calls for oversight of international banking organisations and their regulations.

I'm reading other stuff, so it would be great if someone on IC reads it and writes a review. Or Ari, maybe you can read it and write a comic fairytale based on what the knowledgeable author has written?

Listen to what he says:

Monda, comrade, Azadeh

by Ari Siletz on

Monda, I too find comedies the funnest way to get my arms around political issues. I think that's why Jon Stewart has the best news show in town.

Comrade, thank you for your encouragement. I'll see what I can do to render the affairs in story format as this global farce plays itself out. Of course there are hundreds of real stories in history and in the news already out there that expose the underlying realities of politics--if the right angle can be found to view them from.

Azadeh, I read the link you kindly posted. Would have loved to have been there in Tabriz to watch the events. Geikhatou's mistake seems obvious in the light of history. When the Dollar took over the world's financial system after World War II, the US was a strong creditor nation with almost every high price tag manufactured item in the capitalist world saying "Made In USA." The Dollar was not only as good as gold, you could earn interest on it. What a deal! even for a Tabrizi (though an Isfahani may have been more cautious). This was how the world got hooked on the Dollar drug, and only later did the Dollar's value completely disengage from actual production and inventiveness to rely strictly on its military power component. Gaikhatou was bankrupt at the time he introducted his  Chaw and his money wasn't even backed by the prospect of plundering another country, as he hadn't spent enough on the military. A mistake the US is loathe to repeat.

The oldest paper money

by Azadeh Azad on

The oldest paper money originated in Mesopotamia in the form of “drafts,” which were issued against stored grain as a unit of account (I wonder if they used drafts in Elam as well.) In the 600s there were local issues of paper money in China - "bills", which were issued with a promise to convert at a later date. By 960 the Song Dynasty, short of copper for striking coins, issued the first generally circulating notes.

The first paper money in Iran of 1294 was issued in Tabriz and was called Chaw. The Persian words “chAp” (printing) and chAp-khAneh (printing house) come from the Chinese words Chaw and Chaw Kbazieh.

I read this piece three times to get all the intricate points which were blurred behind my tears of laughter the first two reads.  Fabulous story telling! :o)

Divaneh, Mitra

by Ari Siletz on

Divaneh, you've got the pashe band, now all you need is a good sword. Go for it,and don't forget the "In Divaneh We Trust" on your pashe band scraps. Let we  IC folks know beforehand though, for a little insider currency trading.

Mitra, yes Samad would be reckless enough to issue his own  1 Samadi note, and I'd like to see Samadminator 2 where he tries to hold its value against T-1000's stainless steel finger in Terminator 2. Even weaker kings sometimes can't pull the pashe band scam, especially in Iran. In 1294 Iran's mongol Ilkhanian king Gaikhatoun tried printing paper money (with la elaha el allah on it, no less). Iran's economy collapsed as our bazaari's didn't go for the paper and Gaikhatoun was quickly assassinated. Earlier though, the more powerful Holaku Khan tried it successfully (though he didn't try it in Iran). He took away everyone's silver and gold and you had to accept his paper money or die.

Nice story, would this work for Samad Agha?

by mitra northcal on

Ari jan, I enjoyed your story.  But one does not have to be king. For instance if Samad agha wanted a sword and the person expected something besides pasheband, Samad agha would say, angosht meekonom tu cheshmet ha and then everyone who had to pay the others, would just use horbe angosht.

I re-read the passage; there was no ambiguity. I should have re-read it before commenting. Sorry!

Money, well spent

by comrade on

I hope, I really do, you'll keep growing on this concept. I think you have enough material, without a need for calling an economist to pitch in, to develop your well-written story to the point of IMF, World Bank, and beyond.

Thanks Azadeh, IRANdokht, JJ

by Ari Siletz on

I would be grateful if someday a knowledgeable economist wrote a modern kelileh-va-demneh allegorizing the complete dynamics of today's economy vis-a-vis the concept of power. At the very least, there are other aspects of military might that would come into the story. For example, one would think the king got a (almost) free sword. But his threat of beheadings are only credible if he can sustain enough soldiers. For which he needs...

Azadeh, it was the king's father who died while composing an ode to his pashe band. Apologies for the ambiguity.

On the money

Loved it. Your playful humor kills me. The opening (skipping women and dragons) got me in a good mood and I was hooked to the end.

As for the political message. The threat of war and/or rebellion is very real. Tensions inside and out are constantly rising with no easing in sight. Are we nearing breaking point?

Jallal Khaaleq, Ari. Did this story come to you in a dream, or is it the re-writing of something from Kelileh-va-Demneh?:-)

Creative and accurate. Thank you.
