I can't say I agree with the notion that Palin is a slap in the face of real liberated women. One woman's idea of liberation may differ from another woman's idea, for example. This happens to be her idea of being liberated.
The fight for equal rights and equality continues in large part because of women having these differing viewpoints. If you delve deeper into the "movement", you will find that it is its own worst enemy, because it is disjointed and really not all that cohesive in its vision.
I wish the "regular" news was read by Jon Stewart. It would make life so much more palatable.
