Recently I found a website that I think will be a big help for my friends and relatives in Iran, not to mention for me: www.educationusairan.com.
I swear, every time I get a call from a relative or I'm in Iran, I hear the same questions repeated, "Can you help my [insert family member name] study in the US?" or "Can you help so and so get a visa?" As if I personally wore a key-chain on my belt that opened the proverbial floodgates into America. Well, I don't. Not to sound like an ad, but now I have someplace to send them.
The EducationUSA Iran site (I guess not surprisingly looking at its name) is specifically designed for students in Iran who want to come and study at a university in the United States. It's in both English and Persian and covers a wide range of topics including: application process, TOEFL and other admissions testing, undergraduate study, graduate study, MBA study, medical study, scholarships, visa application and English language training. Everything I've been bugged about. Hope this helps you as much as it helped me!
